So glad I bought this! My old yoga mat was only 4mm thick and I felt my spine dig into the ground every time I'd use it, so my PT recommended I get a new one. This yoga mat is 12mm thick, so more than twice as thick as my old one. It did have a strong chemical/burnt rubber smell when I first took it out of the packaging, but after wiping it down twice with some soap and water, the smell was gone. Because of the thickness, this mat doesn't stay rolled up on it's own, so I'm glad it came with a strap that holds it together when not in use. It has the right amount of softness I was looking for. The surface is grippable so I can move freely without fearing that I'll slip or slide around. It stays in place no matter if I'm on carpet, wood, or tile. It's also very lightweight and easy to clean.

Exactly what I needed

Product arrived within 2days. Super excited with the quality and thickness.
