Allowed to steep for 1 - 2 minutes, the Gunpowder green produces a slightly bitter, very clean taste. Of course, a very relaxing sensation is produced.from this product.A soothing liquid w/ redeeming features of cleansing and neutralizing flavours in the mouth

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Let me start by saying I #gotitfree to try in exchange for an honest review. Now I'm usually a fan of fruity or sweet teas but this one was surprisingly good. It has a mild woodsy taste and is light and clean with no bitterness which can sometimes happen with green tea. I like loose teas and this one was excellent. The leaves were large clusters so no bits fell through my infuser and a little went a long way. Considering the container is pretty big, I would say this tea will last you a while. If you like a simple, pure green tea I'd say give this a try. Bonus: it is great for digestion so if you've had one too many Christmas cookies brew a cup or two of this and your stomach will thank you!

I was a little worried that 'gunpowder' would be too strong, but really it was a nice flavour. I loved that it was loose leaf. It felt more superior to other teas and I liked being able to measure out the amount of tea that I wanted.

Me and my husband are green tea drinkers after lunch and dinner. As this one is more energetic, we consumed it after dinner and we liked its fresh and not too bitter taste. It quenches thirst and quenches thirst. It also helps digestion after meals. I was happy to be able to use my Bodum teapot which is an ideal complement with this tea with large leaves. Obviously I will get another container when this one sera empty and I will not hesitate to recommend it to my loved ones. The price I saw was reasonable for a tea of this quality. Thanks again to ChickAdvisor and Pure Leaf (Unilever) for allowing me to try this tea for free.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I received this as part of the ChickAdvisor Review Panel. I'm usually a fan of sweeter teas, but this works for my caffiene fix. It's not too different from asian green teas, and I was pretty happy with the taste. I wouldn't necessarily follow the directions on the bottle, if you drink tea, just follow what you usually do. This is targeted towards more advanced tea connoisseurs as it is loose tea. I didn't find that there were too many small pieces, so it works pretty well in a teapot. I'm a little surprised that it doesn't mention anything about how much caffeine is in this tea, as other specialty teas do. There's also a decent amount in this jar, so I don't anticipate running out very soon, especially as it works well with a teapot.

I was sceptical following the directions to make a cup as it didn't seem like much tea going into my infuser. Buy boy was I wrong after a few minutes and smelling the lovely green tea aroma I couldn't believe how such long leaves unfurled and filled my infuser. This green tea was not bitter like some....it was filled with so much flavor and a nice aroma. What I love is that such a little truly goes along way. Aside from making a hot tea it will be nice to make it into a cool green tea drink to stay hydrated in the warmer months.

I liked this tea, normally I use tea bags but having the loose tea was interesting for a change. This tea is also green tea and I wasn't familiar with drinking greens teas without a fruit flavour to cover the taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] pure leaf Gunpowder green tea is not a type of tea I like. It does not have the quay of leaf teas sold in specialty stores. Acceptable can a tea in grocery store at most.

I bought this tea for the first time  because the round shaped leaves look similar to my favorite Teavana's Emperor's Cloud & Mist. But the taste really disappointed me. It's so flavorless as if I am drinking from the second steep. Any other brand in the market tastes better.
