This is very pricey food, however it's THE favorite of our rescue boxer Nemo!!! We liberated him from an abusive home where at 2 years old he was underweight at 42%23 %26 I could see all of his bones!!! Our vet said it couldn't be done but with this food plus the addition of eggs, chicken %26 rice in a supportive environment( not in a cage 23 hours a day) his weight was up to 60%23 within 2 months. Love purina pro for my Rottweiler puppy, he was on large breed puppy food from day 1-I researched %26 drove myself nuts over all the dog foods out there - and made my own decisions based upon proof from 2 well known breeders that exclusively use purina for 20. Large breed dogs have different needs and Rotties are prone to so many things.  Recently changed to adult food as he is 20 months he absolutely loves this one %26 no stomach issues - gobbles it right up - I had tried another flavor in the purina pro line and learned a $77 lesson.  This one he loves %26 I am able to donate the other bag which is a win win

My golden retriever is 15 years old and had constant ear infections that the vet couldn't find a solution for.  After two years and a multitude of treatments, including putting him under anesthesia for intensive treatment, it got to the point that he feared the vet so I ended up changing vets.  I read about poultry allergies and after only two bags of food without poultry, no more ear infections!  I bought the Sensitive Skin and Stomach Salmon and Rice formula with Sunflower oil rich in omega-6 fatty acids for healthy skin and coat, and  real salmon as one of many great ingredients  and live probiotics for digestive and immune health. This doesn't upset my senior dog's stomach and he likes it, so win-win.  He is a large Lab-mix rescue about 10 years old and other foods, even same brand, often cause him to throw up right after eating.

This is the best fix for dogs that have sensitive skin or stomach.  The  food has helped my dog which was having bouts of loose stools This was based on allergies to ingredients in other dog foods. It is best for my dog's health.   I also give it to my senior dog who has issues with fur.  Works great.

My Golden Retriever started having skin and stomach issues and this stuff has worked wonders. He couldn't eat anything at one point. Everything would upset his stomach. Rice and salmon have done wonders for his skin health. Stools are normal again... We love Purina Pro!

Great quality food for my guy with sensitive skin/stomach. He loves it and I'm already seeing improvements. Has had diarrhea either (he's prone to it with food changes).

I have tried so many types of dog food for my two mastiffs with allergies. After many years of exploring, this is actually working. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

It's working

My 16+ year old dog had been on Pedigree almost his entire life. He had been doing fine on that until recently. As an older dog, with normal geriatric health issues, he started having irregular and loose bowel movements. In order to help with his sensitive stomach, I had bought a probiotic (Pet Naturals of Vermont Daily Probiotic for Dogs, which I also highly recommend) to give daily. It was really helping and he really enjoyed it as a treat! About two months ago, I decided to look around for a different dog food; one that might help with his stomach and regularity issues. I decided to try this, because he also has some dry skin and excessive shedding along his top line. This dog food seems to be really helping him. I no longer need to give him the daily probiotic. The savings from that just about covers the increase in the cost of this food vs. Pedigree. Not only is it helping, but he absolutely loves it! Apparently, he likes seafood (this has salmon) as much as I do! Despite being a big dog, he is much happier with the smaller sized kibble, because he has lost many teeth. It has only been a couple of months, so it is too soon to tell if this is solving his top line, dry skin/shedding issue, but the rest of his coat is quite shiny. I do think he may be giving off a bit of a fishy smell, but that is not as bad as some doggie odors! I am not just giving this 5 stars, because it is helping his stomach, but it also gets 5 stars because he loves it so much. The only downside is that this food seems to be higher in calories and he is regaining weight, which he needed to lose. He and his mother both need to spend time on a treadmill!

Delivers on its promise!

PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE SENSITIVE SKIN   STOMACH ORIGINAL FORMULA!!!  My girl has skin allergies and this was the only food that helped her. I was so happy I finally found this food that worked, then you changed it and now she's back to where she started 😞 always itching and hot spots. Now you can barely smell the Salmon and it's dryer then it was. Do you just let the Salmon swim through it now? Was a bit pricey but I did not mind paying as long as it worked. Now it's even more expensive and does help her. I'm so unhappy with this product now. I'll be looking for a new food now. So very disappointed with Purina a company I trusted for years.
