Quaker Quick Oats

I am reviewing the quaker steel cut quick cook 3 minute oatmeal in the flavor blueberry and cranberry. This is hands my favorite oatmeal now. I have always eatten quaker oatmeal but the steel cut version to me is the best so far. Steel cut oatmeal is more nutritionally dense then the normal oatmeal versions. The texture of the steel cut is so perfect and the flavor of the cranberry blueberry flavor just seems like a healthy oatmeal! I cant reccomend this enough! Quaker is really stepping up the oatmeal game!

Steel cut oatmeal

loved the idea of personal bags-no need to measure and even teenager can prepare it. both my girls enjoying warm healthy breakfast and im feeling secure to serve quacker products to them. bought both products steel cut oatmeal-loved both:brown sugar and cinnamon gives nice creamy texture and touch of sweet

I would definitely recommend you read the instructions and use a larger bowl than you think you will need. My first try with this ended up mostly on the bottom of my microwave. It's very good, a little chunkier and chewier than traditional oatmeal. I liked this because it made it more interesting. I tried the berry one, it would be nice with a few more berries in it. I think next time I have it I would add some of my own. It's a little sweeter than I expected but not overly sweet. The heartier texture makes it filling and it makes you feel satisfied for a longer time. I liked the fact that it was chewier. I find the texture of regular oatmeal a little too odd first thing in the morning on some days. I felt good after eating it. Ready to face the day. I haven't seen the steel-cut oats in any other instant oatmeal brand. I think this would be great as a quick filling breakfast either at home or as something to keep in my desk at work for a good hearty breakfast there.

Filling and tasty

We tried the Quaker Steel Cut Blueberry & Cranberry oatmeal cereal trying the 2 ways to prepare. I preferred the cooked as the oatmeal turned out softer but it left a messy pot to clean. When prepared in the microwave in a larger bowl it boiled over and left a mess. The flavour was good and we loved the sweetness of the blueberries and cranberries.

Hearty but Messy Oatmeal

I purchased the blueberries and cranberries flavour of Quaker Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats oatmeal. I used the microwave method to cook it. It was easy enough to do. It was a little bit on the sweet side for my taste. I don't think I would purchase this product again. It also could have used more pieces of fruit in the oatmeal. I received this product as part of a testing promotion.

Quaker Quick Cook Steel Cut Oats a little sweet

** I received this product for testing purposes.

I tried this quick cook oatmeal as an "in-between" meal on a busy day. It was very simple to prepare. I choose the microwave cooking method which is recommended on the box, though directions for a stove top preparation are also provided.

I was pleased with the initial texture but as the oatmeal cooled down, it became too mushy and gluey. I prefer oatmeal with more of a bite. I also did not enjoy how sweet this oatmeal was and I felt that the blueberry and raspberry flavour tasted artificial. 

If you like oatmeal but don't like to cook it for want a convenient option, then Quaker Steel Cut Oatmeal Blueberries & Cranberries works in a pinch. However, taking a little extra time and cooking steel oats from scratch tastes 100x better and you can control the sugar that goes in it.

Quaker Steel Cut Oatmeal Blueberries & Cranberries

tried the Quaker Steel Cut quick oatmeal recently. This product is very convenient if you want a quick hot breakfast. I do make traditional steel cut oats at home and use a pressure cooker to cut down on the considerable time they take to cook. I find though that regular steel cut oats have a much better flavour and are much healthier for you. This product is very convenient--ready in three minutes. It contains far too much sugar though for me to recommend this product. In my opinion, if you want a healthy breakfast, make traditional steel cut oats. They are much healthier and taste better.
