Great scooter for my son

This is a great scooter!  Well made, solid and sturdy!  So sturdy that my husband took it for a spin or two! (lol) Purchased for a 6.5 year old who is small so it is a little awkward but she will get used to it!

Not bad

Great but heavy

The obvious flaws: 
First all, descriptions and specs can be deceiving.  The "accelerator control" is really an on-off switch, not anything resembles a throttle control.  Then the battery life is very disappointing.  it does not provide more than a 30-minute ride, covering less than 3 miles.  That falls way short especially on a brand new scooter (battery).  The top speed is definitely not 10mph, maybe on a downhill road.  The ground clearance is extremely low that allows this scooter to pass nothing but smallest bumps.
The good:
The front tire is big enough to conquer most broken pavements and small bumps.  The frame seems to be sturdy enough to handle a smooth ride.  The front bicycle-stye hand brake is strong and effective.
The feature:
The electric motor does not turn on  until the scooter is running at 3  mph.  That makes this scooter a kick-starter.  It seems like a safety feature to prevent a sudden jerky start.  Or it could just be a compromise to lack of torque of the electric motor.  Or maybe the small old-style lead-acid battery just does not provide enough starting current.
Overall, the scooter performs way under its specification and over-priced compared to other models (if those models are honest on specs).

Good design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my son for Christmas and this thing for what I paid is not close being worth it. It makes a noise like a car struggling to move whilst riding it. It sounds like it's going to break down. Most electric scooters I've seen are quieter and ride smoother. I have to return this as I paid way too much for it.
