Ease Of Installation

I have used Redi Shade's in my previous home and have recently purchased a set to use in my current apartment. For the money, they work well and look nice when you are on a tight budget. They are easy to cut down to the size you need for your windows, adhere well enough for long term use (yet, can be used for short term use#, and block out light very well. Your windows must be 36"x72" or less OR you could use multiple shades for larger windows.

I'd recommend that a day sleeper use two shade back to back to block out the most light possible #works and looks much better than taping up tin foil, etc.#. I sure wish I had them when I lived in Iceland during the 24 hours of daylight! These would be great for people who live in Alaska and North Canada too.

The last set I bought had 2 clips in the package that can be used to clip the shades up when you want to let light in or view outside, but I can't vouch that all packages have those clips. If not, you can pick up a pack of cheap clips that will work just as well.

They are paper so they won't last or keep their shape forever, but they are worth buying if you need something to install without damaging the surface #no holes in surface# or can't install regular blinds due to solid concrete that would require drilling, or for blocking out the light to get some sleep. I highly recomend Redi Shades.

Good Option on a Budget

I bought these when we moved into our current house and will buy again for our new home. Super easy to install and perfect until we get window treatments.

Easy to put up and great for a temporary fix to not having new blinds. Love them!!!

Great temporary fix

As the customer below said, its great for a lot of things. However, like she said, it IS paper and how it unravelse makes it kind of hard to not dent, rip or maintain its perfect looking appearance in the photograph. A better, closer solution to the photograph, would be to by two of them (so cheap anyway) then glue the two peices together AS you unravel them. Two definately blocks the sun for Vampire/Graveyard workers like myself. If you want more even spacing between each triangle/wedge look, buy a bunch of white pullout / thumb type tacks for each wedge. This keeps it in place, doesn't lengthen with gravity over time and yet, still easy to put up or down without wrinkles or distortions.

Great Product but needs more installation work.

I put it between the glass windows in a few rooms of my house. It only filters the light, just a bit more than others, makes it seem like it cloudy out. You cut it to the size of the window and then peel-n-stick it where you want. I had enough of a chunk cut off that I was able to use it on the little window of my front door. It's just paper folded but it looks like the expensive curtains from outside.

I don't expect it to last

They are just a heavy paper but they do make a room DARK..Keeps the heat out in the summer. Great for a day sleeper or someone who likes to sleep in, in the mornings. I think they would be great for a dorm room easy to install and take down!

Nice for the money

I really like the shade, I cut it perfect and it looks very nice, and I put it at my bathroom window where I change everything to black and grey.

I ordered these online in gray and when I went to pick them up they were black. Apparently the store didn't have gray so they took it upon them selves to give me black. I followed the directions and about 12 hours after I applied them when the sun was hitting them they fell down. Don't waste your money.

Do not stick waste of money

I paid $40 for ONE PAPER shade.  The last time I purchased these shades there were 6 to a pack.  The shade arrived in a long bent box.  Now I have to figure out how to return it.

It would not do anything I wanted it to do I threw it away
