I started using this product during the covid crisis and realized that I needed a hairdresser to cut my hair, but not to color it. The hair coloring was easy, just follow the instructions.  If you are only doing your roots, use the squeeze bottle to distribute the color along the root line and gently shampoo it into your  roots. The color is ammonium free and does not irritate your skin. I can say that with confidence because I had my  head radiated and had no negative reaction to the coloring  chemicals.

Works very well and very affordable price

Great product! I have been using this for 8 years now...My hair color is fantastic! I have been using the golden chestnut brown....It took time for me to learn how to apply it to my hair and how long to let the dye stay in my hair before rinsing. The first few times I used it, I followed the instructions but the dye was not  completely absorbed because my hair has very thick stands (asian hair) 50% white hair and 50% black.  After dying my hair I let the dye to stay  for 1 hour then wet my hair just enough to massage  the hair to spread the dye evenly then wait for 30 minutes more before rinsing. I do any house  work while waiting.  The color does not fade, I do  root retouch  every three weeks  because my hair grows so fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive always loved Revlon hair dye. Pretty easy to use and color pay off is great! Just be careful not to make a mess. I always put down old newspaper and use old towels to not destroy the bathroom lol.

My hair was already blonde and I used this it made it a sandy blonde so it really is not as bright as it states on the color spectrum. I'm still trying to get that Beyoncé blonde blonde but it seems like I might have to bleach which is what I do not want to do lol so wigs it is.

I have tried many at-home hair coloring kits, and the Colorsilk Beautiful Hair is by far the best one  at the best price. My favorite color is the Medium Golden Chestnut Brown, which I have been unable to find in any other brand. I will keep buying this product and recommend it to others.

Great product at a great price

I usually choose Revoln Colorsilk's," Dark Brown". The Dark Brown was not available.   So, I tried their Golden Chestnut, Dark Brown instead.  My greys (on black hair) turned auburn-ish in color just beneath the natural black. It looks like reddish/auburn highlights.  Mahalo Walmart for the great price and quick delivery.

Not my usual color choice but it worked.

I have use this haircolor for nearly 6 years. It lasts for about 4  and I have gray in my roots. The medium color does go on a little dark so you might want to go out like shade it takes about a week for it to look like the way you want to. My best friend is now using the haircolor as well.  I have saved hundreds of dollars from doing it myself and it looks quite good!

Great price! Wonderful product

Love the price.  My hair was brown with blonde and grey mixed in and this lightened it about 4 shades lighter (nowhere near as light as the girl on the box).  I almost gave it 5 stars anyway because it had NO UNPLEASANT SMELL, did not burn at all, and the conditioner did not smell like strong grandma's foot powder like other hair dyes I've tried!!  So yeah, I'll be using this again.  Maybe I'll leave it in longer next time.  My hair is silky soft and feels great.  Lots of compliments and looks professional.

I had been dying my hair dark brown with washout semipermanent hair dye and wanted my natural color back, which is blond. I tried this and it didn’t do anything at all, as though I just put water on my hair. I was surprised but glad I only tried it on hair from my brush (strand test.)
