Purchased these about 3 weeks ago to replace and aging pair of lace-up snake boots.  After weighing all features in several brands, I settled on the Retractions.  These are light and required almost no break-in period. They run true to size as I normally wear 11W and that's what I ordered.  Fit great. Zippers are YK2 brand metal.  I am satisfied with fitment and quality. So far, the waterproofing is untested, but I expect Rocky to honor the 1-year warranty if that becomes an issue.

These boots really do the job with preventing snake bites from getting to your legs, ankles, or feet and they are really comfortable.
We wear them on our Farm year round as we get support for ankles and they are comfortable. We Highly recommend these boots for everyone.

Rocky Snake Proof Boots are Great !!!

The boots are great and true to size. They are pretty comfortable and I do feel they will be just what is needed to clear my land of trees and keep me safe from the rattle snakes here in hill country.

Perfect right out of box. Fits true and is comfortable for all day turkey hunts in the south. Looking forward to wearing them for fall bow season in the southern swamps.

Great boot

I bought these boots about 8 years ago. I have about 50 miles on them and they are still doing good. They only thing I added was some good insoles for long hikes.
I definitely recommend these to anyone.

Long lasting boots

Now that I have the boots the snakes have run away :).  The boot is very comfortable fitting nicely for me, a wide, and regular for my wife.  They are stiff in the beginning but they break in well in the deep woods.  I was concerned with the zipper being the weak-link for a snake fang penetration but this is not the case at all; it is actually a safer zone do to the layering of the inner material.  The zipper works very easily.  One great advantage of this boot is the boots grip to the ground without packing the tread with dirt/clay that would deny quality traction.  I would recommend this to all.

Made to do the job...

I bought these boots to walk into the swamps. I bought my daughter a pair and myself a pair. We walked for several hours in the mud and muck and they worked great. Very comfortable and true to size. I had no blisters or rubbing on my feet at all. I highly recommend these boots. My 14 yr old daughter never complained about how these boots felt to her.

This boot is exactly as it is described.  Right out of the box the first day for 8 hours without any issues.  I highly recommend this for any situation required for outdoors.

This pair was bought with 50 percent discount cause 1st pair soles came apart.  I got the new 2nd pair and after wearing a couple times they're coming apart at the soles also.  Rocky must use weak glue
