i read all the reviews b4 i bought these boots. So in regards to them I have to say two things.....
1. They're  BOOTS!
2. They were designed by the U.S.  D.O.D.! 
They're purpose built for jungle warfare. Comfort wasn't a concern. Durability and traction were the goal. Definatly go down a size, maybe 1½. I've never in my life worn a size 9, till now! I'm a 10½ usually. Comfort is ok. I may eventually put a thin insole in them. If the soles come off or all the threads come out or something dumb like that I'll update this. But I'm happy with them.

I gave these boots 4 stars because they are exactly what I expected. I needed some inexpensive steel toe work boots for minor landscaping and construction projects. These do the trick.  A couple of quick points before you buy. The sizing is a little weird. I did a little research and it was recommended to size down at least a full size and a half. I usually wear a size 10.5. I went with a size 9 and they fit perfectly. Not designed for comfort. I ended up adding some work boot insoles and it makes a huge difference. They're also really heavy, which was okay for my purposes.  And, the soles WILL leave marks, especially noticeable on lighter colored flooring. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. Hope this helps.

Good boots for the price. Read before you buy.

It's a nice boot,at first it smelled like tires or something like that,i kinda like the smell.But the boot felt great,its just a lil stiff wen u get it so its sorta hard to walk in,just loosen up the laces around the at the ankle part.Prolly the coolest boot i got in my collection,cant wait to step in some water like a vietnam soldier.

MADE FOR WELL OILED KILLIN MICHINE

love the fit and the construction of them all but the insoles. they definitely require me to buy extra padding  for long hours of wear but all in all great shoes

Work boot

I normally wear 10.5. I ordered size 10. They are so big I can take them off while they are laced as tight as they get. It will cost me almost the same amount to exchange them for a size 9. I'm not going to exchange, too worried the next pair won't fit. I'm not wasting my money again. I'm donating the boots and finding a better retailer.
