I can definitely tell this is a warm jacket as the temps start to fall. It's worth the price and I'd recommend it for everyone. Make sure though you do drop a size smaller than you normally wear if you don't want it baggy. My girlfriend and I are definitely pleased with it

I was fortunate in locating this SNORKEL PARKA, it will serve me best this winter 2015, it is light weight, can easily go into my pack, quite warm, and resistant to, rain and sleet.

Snorkel Parka

Fabric is a little different than the one I was issued in 1980 has same fit and function I love it.

I would recommend this product for any cold climate.

I received the flight jacket sooner than I expect it to arrive and precisely as described; in size and in color. I know this jacket will keep me warm for many years to come in the harsh midwest winter weather. Thank you Captain, keep up the good work you do for us.

N-38 Snorkel Parka Flight Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coat did not have a lining inside of it as I thought it would be and you could not take the hat off

Had to return it.  It fit well in the shoulders, but was designed for a VERY large waist.  Two or so feet of extra fabric around waist area.

Coat received just doesn't have the heavy insulation the ad mentioned. Ad shipping weight is 8 lb. - coat actually weighs only about 4. Coat appears ok for 30 deg, but not colder without something under it. Coat not as fluffy as the same coat in a local store.

Is this coat a substitute?

Not good for "Extreme Weather"

i was in the military, and while this jacket looks good, it is a lot thinner and not insulated like a real military parka. i was going to return it but the seller charges 15 percent return fee, postage fees x 2, so i basically bought it for 75 and would be lucky to get half that money back. buyer beware. if you want a windbreaker go for it. otherwise shop somewhere else.
