The size is right for our little faux hallway in our tiny house, which is right next to the bedroom, this rug stops a lot of the clompity-clomp when anyone is leaving the kitchen area and headed to the bathroom. It's not one of those thin, washable type rugs, it's cushy when you walk on it. I do love the rich reds, yellows and other colors- while it's true what other people posted using the word 'pixalated' meaning the design in some areas  you can notice this- but in our place it's in a relatively dark area and it's not super apparent. I do wish the color looked more like the photo online but in general it is a quality rug for the price. I've bought two other rugs from this company Safavieh , both 'runner' style for more heavily trafficked areas or to guard the area in the kitchen where we do dishes/dishwasher/stove and they have held up. Pro tip: Have not washed this one yet but the runners we got (same company different pattern) I have washed- you take it out in the yard put some dishwasher liquid, dont overdo it- and spray with the hose on full power, preferably with those adjustable spray nozzle things you can get for a hose- until you get most all the soap out, hang on porch to dry (I wouldnt do this in winter but in an area where summers are hot it may dry within the day) and it came out looking good. I don't know if this method is practical with kids vs the washable type, when you have to wash more often-mine are grown. Another pro tip: there's something called rug tape that helps hold it down so you don't end up slipping. Pro tip 3 , when you first get it and unroll it, the edges may curl up, just get some heavy books and set them on the edges for a day or two and this goes away.
