The fireplace was easy to assemble and went together in about 2 hours. Other reviews complained about missing screw holes and poor directions, but my wife and I did not encounter any problems at all. Of course it takes time to read and double check the assembly direction, but if you take your time and follow the directions you will end up with a beautiful fire place. We love it.

I bought this for the heat and because it has a remote with it. It was so easy to put together and the directions were "spot on". Took just about an hour to put together. It is great looking and very well put together. It is heavy not cheaply built at all. Nice that it can be used against a wall or has the drop down panel in the back so you can use it in a corner location too. Not only would I recommend this I will most likely buy another. With the adjustable "flame" and glow from the logs you can change the look to match the mood. It heats great and with the thermostat and timer I don't have to worry about leaving it on. Great value and great look!

Great looking and very functional

This fireplace is a good looking piece of furniture! The assembly directions were simple to follow, all the pieces fit perfectly and the finish was very nice. After completing the assembly I gave the fireplace a trial run and it operated perfectly!

It is made well, looks as pictured, it does take some time for it to warm up the room. I love how if fits so sweetly in the corner. My TV was a 50" but actually only measures 44" across, I forgot about the legs on the TV, measure the legs as I had to take two of the shelves out of the sides to extend the top long enough (just an inch really) so that the TV set on it more securely.  Enjoy!!! For the price as I shopped around a  lot and this was a great value for a corner unit.

I love this sweet corner TV stand

I love this fireplace/media center! I put it in the corner of my living room, so it's very space efficient. It's "convertible" though, so you can put it in a corner, or lower the wood thing in the back and place it flat against a wall. The assembly instructions weren't too hard to follow, but the pictures were a little small for me, and that made things a little more difficult to follow, but otherwise not bad. It wouldn't hurt to have someone help you assemble it, since lifting the top and bottom parts into place over the pegs can be challenging by yourself. Overall, very happy with this and it looks great! Oh and the remote that comes with it is very cool! You can turn the heat, "flames," and "logs" on or off separately at the push of a button.

Worth the effort!

Knowing that assembly was required, I was a bit nervous about the complexity and the quality. However, I was extremely pleased to see that the instructions were easy to understand, and the parts were organized well and labeled accordingly. I was able to build it with ease, especially with the help of a drill. The quality of the materials is good as well. It was a bit more yellow than I would have preferred, so I ended up painting it. Even still, the end product is great and perfect for our home.

Sturdy, looks great, nice finish. Firebox looks good too, flames look realistic from a couple feet away and heats up my room nicely.

I almost didn't order it based on reviews posted. I howver found it very easy to put togeather ( actually my son found it easy ) The color was good and overall I am very happy. Knowing I could return it made me more comfdortable about ordering, but it will not be returned. It looks so nice in my living room. Overall I an very glad I purchased this unit.

This fireplace is not white or ivory, it is yellow if color matters to you.  A better picture would have been helpful.

Color not as described

Excited we received it so quickly only to find the quality was not what it portrayed in the picture. The holes did not match up in order to put it together and we were afraid it would not stand on its own. We did continue building until we reached a point we could not go any further due to some of the screws being too small or the holes not meeting up with each other. SO disappointed and a waste of our time before the holidays. I did call WalMart and voice my opinion/concern about this product.

So disappointed.
