Now that I have had a chance to use my headphones I am so pleased I paid the extra money for them. I did think they were expensive but have found they perform really well. Although my wife does complain that I can't hear her. Is that a bad thing? Haha

It's been 8 months I've been using them continuously and I'm very pleased overall. Amazing sound, sufficient noise canceling (not close to other overear nc capability but still what you need) good battery life. A bit bulky case compared to the latest out there but still worth it given you got more battery juice in there

Amazing sound, stable & convenient shape for my ea

I am really very sad to returned this amazing product from sony and I am really want it again but I cant use it if it's not ready to make a phone call please just fix it and not only me all customer will be happy thanks alot for this product I will just wait to fix it to bought it again.

Just fix the microphone and it will be perfect

I've got really small ears, so really struggle to get in ear headphones to fit me. Originally I bought some from a different well-known specialist manufacturer, thinking they'd be great, but the sound quality was rubbish!  I went for these and wish I'd gone with them from the start!  They look discreet, the sound quality is superb and the noise cancelling functionality is absolutely brilliant.

Happy with the fit and the sound quality. The noise canceling works well. The surroundings pass through setting works pretty well - it magnifies the surrounding sound so it is a bit louder than without the buds. Calls are where I've run into some problems. Seems to pick up a lot of the surrounding sound when talking to someone on a call - one time the person heard the surrounding sound on the bus but not me at all (and I didn't want to shout!). Wind gives it difficulty as well. Overall pretty happy.

Good sound and build, calls aren't the best

I already have the WH-1000XM4 headphones which are amazing. After researching for wireless ear buds I decided on the WF-1000MX3. First time I used them - hated and disappointed - the negative reviews buzzed in my head. However, I decided to read the instructions better and try different covers. What a difference- amazing. I still have difficulty with the right one- just won't seem to fit well. All notes crisp, lovely middle tones and bass. Sometimes seems slow to switch to adaptive sound, and occasional loss of connection between both buds- minor issues. They highlight poor quality recordings. The case is larger than ideal, especially to put in a pocket, the size of buds is quite large, and they do protrude- means you can accidentally knock them out- wouldn't feel happy running in them - that may just be the issue with the right ear fitting oddly  though. 
Controlling them can be fiddly- it's best to hold then action, and it's takes getting used to the delay required on taps. 
It would be good to have choice on left for both voice assistant AND adaptive sound/noise cancelling rather than one or the other. 
Like everything- there are pluses and minuses, but get the fit right and adapt to them - you won't regret it.

If at first you don't succeed...

I bought these headphones as I was looking for a single product that would combine the things I needed and was looking for (not simply hoped for) in such a headset . Price was not the issue, I am willing to pay whatever is necessary for a premium product if it is really fit for purpose. As advertised, the WF-1000XM3's seemed like the choice to go with if I wanted to have:

1. wireless, hands-free calling whilst on the move
2. noise cancellation technology (useful in busy offices, airplanes, commutes)
3. good sound quality for listening to music

The extra perks that I thought are really cool are also and were a huge bonus to me:
4. the headphones are relatively comfortable
5. the google assistant
6. the app that comes with the headphones and their adjustability

It is now after three weeks of use that I deeply regret to say but I will be returning my earbuds. 5 out of the 6 features listed above are true and the headphones perform extremely well, BUT UNFORTUNATELY, THEY ARE COMPLETELY USELESS WHEN USED AS A CALLING DEVICE. The call quality is ridiculously bad, and even though the user of the headphones can clearly hear the person he is talking to, that is absolutely not the case for his/hers interlocutor. As call quality is an important feature a headphone in my case MUST have, and was one of the reasons to buy this particular headset (based on its advertising it appeared superb - see attached picture), the failure to meet the most basic quality standards here made me rate these headphones merely average. If you do not plane to use them for calling purposes they should be absolutely fine, but because Iam looking for a all-in-one solution this is definitely not it. Did not expect this from Sony, especially not at this price point. Feel free to google this issue on the web, it is quite big amongst the community who bought these headphones.

Unusable for calling but good for music

I've had these earphones for a couple of weeks now. They are comfortable to wear, easy to connect to multiple devices, and the sound is good. 

The bit I don't get is the noise cancelling function. It just doesn't appear to cancel outside noise. I've worked out how to switch on the noise cancelling function, but when I do it seems to make barely any difference. Was I just being naive in my expectations of what noice cancelling actually meant?

Noise Cancelling?

I had to return my headphones because people couldn't hear me properly on calls/meetings. Also, the noise-cancelling feature doesn't work on calls/meetings. However, I highly recommend these headphones if you want to wear them exclusively for listening to music — then the sound is crisp and clear, the noise-cancelling works well, and the pairing is easy.

Bad for calls, awesome for music.

Had these for a week.  The volume when listening to podcasts was poor, even on maximum and using different sound settings. The noise cancelling worked fine - except that it would not stay on for more than a couple of minutes and then would turn off again for no apparent reason and without my intervention. The iPhone app is terrible. Returned them for a refund.
