Love the pop of color it brought to our living room! We knew a shag rug was what we wanted but had no idea what the Safavieh Leather Shag would bring to the game. Knocked it out of the park!!!!

Contemporary at it finest!

walmart.com

Gorgeous rug! Love love love the texture of the leather strips. Love everything about this rug. I wanted something DIFFERENT and this certainly is! I bought the 6'x6' square and it measures accurately. I selected the "white" rug and the leather is white and the reverse side of the strips are a very light silver grey. It sorta looks like a pile of shredded paper from a distance. I love the random texture and shapes of the pieces! The "smell" of the rug is LEATHER. A VERY FAINT wonderful new-car interior leather smell. The rolled up rug is clean and was shipping packaged with two heavy duty plastic coverings. Just stunning!

TEXTURE LEATHER and OH SO STYLISH

I have several of these type of rugs in several rooms in my house and I love them. I have red, gray and now blue. They add style to any decor and sturdy if you take care of them. I always expect to lose some of the leather shag over time, but overall, they last and are very durable. They are heavy, but easy to slightly shake out or use vacuum attachment and go over lightly to reduce losing too much of the leather. Leather is also easy to weave back into base of rug if need be.

Great rugs! Add style to any decor.

Omgosh this rug is fabulous!!!...it's well made and very very heavy!!!...some of the strips are really too long but I cut them off and glued them to a old lamp I had...turned out great so I got two items in one...this rug is worth the purchase you won't be disappointed!!!

Rug is fab!!!

Packaging to protect the rug in shipment was outstanding. Delivery was quick and ordering was easy.

Luv it! Just as expected!

Love these rugs and have had them before. I ordered the light blue but came in turquoise. Just beware. I am going to have to return the two that I ordered. I am reordering the beige or white now. I would give them a 5 star if the colors were true. Did not have an odor or any excess shedding. You can loop the leather in again if it does come out. I have pups and kittens that sometimes play with them but easy to loop back thru. They just do it the first few days then the new wears off.

Blue not true Color

PRIOR TO MAKING THE PURCHASE, AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT TO MYSELF...I READ THE REVIEWS AND WAS UNSURE AS WHAT TO EXPECT, AS PER THE REVIEWS (IN WHICH **SOME*** REVIEWS, SEEMED TO BE NEGATIVE -( re: A POTENT CHEMICAL SMELL/LOOSE LEATHER STRIPS/VISIBILITY OF THE RUG UNDERLAY). WELL I FOUND THAT SENSITIVITY TO SMELL & PRODUCT PERCEPTION IS SUBJECTIVE TO THE PROSPECTIVE BUYER....OVERALL MY WALMART PURCHASE EXPERIENCE ---> EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS...SHIPPING WAS COST EFFECTIVE & FAST NEXT DAY VIA FED EX & PRIOR TO THE HOLIDAY (CHRISTMAS RUSH)....THE RUG (RUNNER) WAS MARKED DOWN TO LESS THAN $30.00 FOR THE SIZE I SELECTED... WAS LESS MONEY THAN COMPARATIVE SITES, LIKE WAYFAIR....AND AN EXCELLENT VALUE...AS MANY RUGS OR RUNNERS THAT AREN'T "GENUINE LEATHER" COULD EXCEED THE COST...THE RUG (RUNNER) WAS PLUSH, COMFORTABLE TO MY BARE FEET... WITH GENUINE LEATHER STRIPS THAT ARE/WERE INVITING TO THE EYE...AND....INVITED MANY COMPLIMENTS BY GUEST, THAT HAVE VIEWED IT... PERSONALLY I DID NOT FIND A STRONG CHEMICAL OR LEATHER ODOR...NOR DID I FIND THE LEATHER TO BE ROUGH AGAINST MY BARE FEET (BECAUSE THIS ITEM IS LEATHER WITH NO VIABLE CLEATHING OPTIONS - OTHER THAN A "GENTLE SHAKE" TO DISENGAGE DEBRI...I DO NOT WEAR OUTSIDE SHOES ON THE RUG) ...BUT CANDIDLY, I CAN SAY THAT AFEW LEATHER STRIPS DID BECOME LOOSE, AS PER REVIEW - BUT I JUST REINSERTED THEM... I THINK THIS IS TO BE EXPECTED DUE TO THE DELICATE HANDMADE STRUCTURE OF THE ITEM..**** REGARDLESS, I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR PURCHASE...DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE & COMPLIMENTS THAT THIS ITEM HAS GARNERED....THANKS WALMART !! I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID OR COMPENSATED FOR MY REVIEW.

GENUINE LEATHER RUG EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS

After I purchased this rug I received an email from wayfair that this rug was not returnable witch I thought was odd but I told myself "well ok". When I finally received the rug I did like it & I thought it was unusual & different but then I noticed every day the rug is falling apart from the day it arrived I am constantly picking up pieces of the rug off the floor. I feel like they the rug would easily fall apart which is why they say you cannot return it & I find this very disappointing & I am already looking for a new rug for my living room that I will not have to constantly clear debris from. I have over 3 handfuls of the rug that have already fallen off in a week I received the rug. I would not recommend this rug.

Not worth it!!!!

Poor quality. Not the color shown. Came in much brighter than advertised. Immediately started falling apart. Smelled and liked like it came out of an old attic.

We immediately returned it.

Does not look like the picture at all

the rug looked great when I first received them. the blue was beautiful shades of turquoise. But after a few weeks the rugs started falling apart. It went from being a thick rug to being more of a thin mat. Dont waste you money, unless you are willing to sew all the pieces of suede back onto the rug.

Doesnt last. Save your money.
