This shoe took some getting used to. For some reason Salomon road shoes always give me blisters on the outside of my big toe until 50-75 miles. After that they are solid. I have 420 miles on a pair of these and I just received a new pair since the tread and outsole are showing some serious wear on them. The upper looks like I just pulled it out of the box.

I have always been a fan of the sonic line and the 3s don't disappoint at all. They fit well and offer a really smooth ride. Love the balance to put on daily miles and I'm getting the accelerate for faster runs.

Great updates!

I ordered these running shoes based on the strength of the approach and hiking boots I have from Salomon. I have struggled to find the right kind of shoes across all of these types in the past and Salomon seem to fit my feet perfectly (I have a narrow heel, high arch and medium width). I have only put about 30 miles on them so far, and whilst these don't have the highest arch they do fit very comfortably and I've had no issues whatsoever. Would thoroughly recommend these and the brand in general.

Perfect shoe for me

This is a great shoe for all of your weekly miles, whether hitting the roads or even some non-technical trails. With a stable platform, just the right amount of cushion and plenty of upper breathability the Sonic 3 Balance is a stellar choice for your daily go-to no matter where you live or the conditions your run in.

Super all-around road shoe!

I bought them just over a month ago. I've got almost 100 miles on them. They are my first pair of Salomon running shoes. I have hiking boots and shoes from Salomon now, and just like them there is no break in. The Sonics will be my go to running shoe from now on. I love them. As I said, almost 100 miles on them, no break in, not even a hot spot, and extremely comfortable.

Excellent fit and true to size.

I bought these ahead of a planned half marathon race. I used them a few time in training and they felt good. Plenty of bounce and spring. Very profile fit but unfortunately too tight in the toes. I'm not going to use them for the race but happy to keep them until they wear in.

Super Sonics

I have been running competitively for 15 years now and I have worn just about every neutral trainer that has come and gone on the market. When it comes down it, I just want a reliable shoe to dump mileage on. The new Sonic 3 falls more closely to the fit of a Nike Pegasus and can take the daily demands of a road runner. The foam is slightly more responsive that a traditional trainer, which was a nice surprise. The upper is comfortable and soft, fitting my low volume foot nicely. The cons of the shoe so far was that the upper was a bit rigid when out of the box, but now that I have about 50 miles on mine they have broken in. 

This is the most okay trainer I have worn, and that's one of the best compliments I can  give.

Salomon Sonics Greatly Improve

I have been really impressed by the Sonic Balance. I find the road very hard and I prefer the trails but the Sonic Balance gives me enough cushioning and support to acttually really enjoy my runs on the rad.

Good Support.

I only ran about 80 km in them so far as I bought them to replace my old running shoes. The comfort is there, no doubt. I like to wear them as they felt just perfect from the first day. My main drawback is I am not sure of the durability as the rubber outsole already show signs of degradation. Not that much, but it can clearly be notice. But so far they are nice shoes.

Cushioning is really comfortable.  The tongue is so frustrating.  It is not fixed on both sides, so if you are running in a way that is not straight on a track the tongue starts folding to the side and becomes uncomfortable. I run a mixed route between trails and road.  I constantly have to fix the tongue when exiting the trail.
