I upgraded from my Galaxy Watch 4 to get the newest health sensors. As a senior, every moment is precious. The Galaxy Watch 8 supports my physical/mental health routines. Tracking my heart health is so important. Every senior should have one/

A Senior's Best Friend

I have had my Galaxy Watch8 for about 5 months now. It has exceeded my expectations. I love the new watch face bezel and the new watch band, it is sporty but also classy for dressed-up events. The software has been rock steady, along with the battery life. Love it.

Luxurious and comfortable

LIt has so many exercises and even the ability to create your own exercises. A really nice feature is the web browser, which is helpful when you want to search something without getting your phone. The fitness tracking is also very good because it is accurate and it can track so many things. It is very thin and light, which is nice when sleeping with it on. The screen brightness is good, being clearly visible in sunlight. The battery charges really fast and lasts around 3 days.

This is the best watch ever!

I bought Watch8 along with Fold7 offer but its really great with modern floating design of the dial. Been using to monitor my health for steps, heart beat and now my sleep. Till now its accurate and helps me to be productive and conscious about being active. Battery should have been little more lasting but that's not a problem as I charge it very often. Can access all my apps through watch which is great. Overall very happy with my Watch8. Thanks Samsung.

Great for everyday life!

Recently, my medical team requested I track my blood pressure, sleep, food intake, exercise, etc while we're trying to pinpoint what's going on. I took a chance with this watch, hoping that it would help identify patterns and it's been great! If I feel dizzy, I can quickly take my BP, HR and do an ECG and make notes on how I was feeling. The blood pressure feature has been fairly accurate, within a few points, I also calibrate it more often. I have an old phone (21 FE) but have no issues with compatibility. Battery life is decent considering all it does constantly, I charge it during dinner and it's good until the next day at dinner unless I've been playing with it more.  

It's pretty comfortable and easy to use. I do wish it came in a bit smaller size - I have the 40mm and it's a bit large. I wear it on the inside of my wrist so it's less of an issue but have to flip it if using some of the advance features - it would be nice if inside wrist placement was integrated so that those features were usable without flipping. 

I bought an open box one from Amazon and don't regret the purchase at all. I'm actually considering getting the ring for the times the watch is charging or when it would be more convenient.  

Most of the negative things I read in reviews were user error or misunderstanding due to lack of research. If you're using every feature all day, it's not going to last long. You need to check the availability in your country, some features could make it a medical device so are not available. There was one that said the person's phone was too old and somehow that was samsungs fault.

Great Value for Health Tracking and Insight

I got this in the mail two weeks ago, and I've found it to be much more useful than I thought it'd be. It hooked up with Google maps for directions, kept track of my blood pressure, my sleep schedule, my events, and more. The only thing it couldn't do is connect to my FreeStyle Libre 2 to keep track of my blood sugar, and I hope that'll be covered in the near future. It's been quite comfortable to wear, I was worried it'd bother me since I've not used watches in ages, but it fits quite well.

The watch face is bright enough to use during the day, for clear viewing, and the interface is intuitive once you've gone through the initial setup. Connecting to the phone was a breeze, and took almost no work at all.

As others have said, the battery life is an issue. Less than 2 days. I knew that going in, but purchased anyways because of the extra features other watches don't have.
What I am really annoyed about is that fact that I bought this watch under some false pretenses. 
In doing my research, I saw that I could download the Samsung watch app on my android phone to access all the features. 
Well, as it turns out, I can not use the specific features I bought this watch for as they are not compatible with my phone (EKG and bp). So I spent more money on a watch with a shorter battery life and unusable apps.
This is very frustrating and I thought I had researched my purchase fully. This should be made clear in the information available.
This issue will definitely influence any future purchasing choices I make.

Coming from Galaxy Watch 7. Slimmer design and One UI 8 makes best combo. I like these bands but have to start a new band collection. Still battery is same as previous one. Samsung loves cutting features on base models. (RIP S26 base)

Second best circular in a square thing after pizza

I purchased the watch as a Christmas present for my husband. After wearing the watch for 6 days the battery life was not improving. The most you will get for battery life is 1.5 days with all features turned off. This makes it an expensive digital watch. Very disappointed when comparing to Garmin's that he was getting an average of a 6 days battery life. I do not recommend purchasing this watch especially if you currently have a Garmin and are thinking of trying a Galaxy watch.
