I had no idea how much I would enjoy this watch. I did not think it would work on me, but its feedback makes me want to be more active. It helps me notice when I sit too long, and I love the faces (spent way too much time customizing mine, but I can't honestly say I regret it). I was worried about the battery, but it was never a problem, and with the quick charger, it fills up real quick. The display is awesome, and it is very well built. After several months of heavy use, it still looks like new.  I also really like the gestures, and specifically the "double pinch". The speakers are better than I would expect, speech (Gimini) is very clear, and when I am really lazy, I make quick phone calls from it (mostly to the fam). I love paying with it (personally, I use Google Wallet), and I love to have DUO on me wherever I am for 2FA.
I received it as a gift from my in-laws (I know... lucky me...), but it was not too profitable, as I liked it so much that I bought the 40mm Watch8 for my sister (I know.... lucky her...).

I have had my Galaxy Watch8 for about 5 months now. It has exceeded my expectations. I love the new watch face bezel and the new watch band, it is sporty but also classy for dressed-up events. The software has been rock steady, along with the battery life. Love it.

Luxurious and comfortable

It is a great product and perfect match with your Samsung Galaxy phone, the only downside is the battery only last maximum 2 days without always on display

As others have said, the battery life is an issue. Less than 2 days. I knew that going in, but purchased anyways because of the extra features other watches don't have.
What I am really annoyed about is that fact that I bought this watch under some false pretenses. 
In doing my research, I saw that I could download the Samsung watch app on my android phone to access all the features. 
Well, as it turns out, I can not use the specific features I bought this watch for as they are not compatible with my phone (EKG and bp). So I spent more money on a watch with a shorter battery life and unusable apps.
This is very frustrating and I thought I had researched my purchase fully. This should be made clear in the information available.
This issue will definitely influence any future purchasing choices I make.

I purchased the watch as a Christmas present for my husband. After wearing the watch for 6 days the battery life was not improving. The most you will get for battery life is 1.5 days with all features turned off. This makes it an expensive digital watch. Very disappointed when comparing to Garmin's that he was getting an average of a 6 days battery life. I do not recommend purchasing this watch especially if you currently have a Garmin and are thinking of trying a Galaxy watch.
