Got the 8 classic after doing a lot of research.  Excellent choice!  I appreciate the health features, the processor is fast and smooth, and the watch looks classy.  I'm not worried about battery life, I throw it on the charger every night, I don't sleep with phones and watches.  I use it for exercise every day, and it still has 50 to 60% battery every night.  I keep the AOD off, but it's nicely customizable.  Great watch!  Look for sales, and buy the Canadian version if you're in Canada.

Excellent Watch!

This is my first Watch ever so I reviewed before I bought and the upgrades from the watch 7 to the new watch 8 was substantial. It fits my wrist and lays as flat as any other watch on the market today. I love the dial and the ease of use. I was about 1 hour and had this figured out. I love the style and design. It looks dressy and tough enough to wear to work. I work in construction so it takes some beatings but so far so good.

Love this watch

Following one month of utilization, I am pleased with the performance of the Model 8 Classic, particularly its comprehensive feature set. The device demonstrates significant potential for integration into daily routines. Battery life is currently estimated at two days following a full charge. Furthermore, the device's construction and aesthetic design are commendable.

Decent watch. Battery life could improve.
With the design of metal and a rotating bezel you should have chosen a metal link bracelet as a standard. Watch could also use a bit more weight.

Room for some improvement

I like how stylish and modern it looks. Very easy to use and wear. Good for getting notifications/texts without having to take my phone out of my pocket. Very nice!

Stylish and Convenient

Battery does not last more than a day. I work in film if I do a 16 hour day when I get home it's at like 19%. It's actually gone to zero a couple times, like if I fall asleep after work and leave it on then coffee table. It's pretty annoying battery should last a lot longer

Battery

I'm happy with almost everything—the design, the options, and the settings. Unfortunately, one flaw outweighs all the positives!

This is a watch, so its primary function is to tell the correct time. This is where the problem lies.

The watch gains 2-3 seconds per day, while even the cheapest quartz watches only drift by 15 seconds per month. I'm certain this isn't a hardware issue; it's a software problem.

When Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off, the accuracy is normal. Therefore, the issue is likely with the synchronization to the phone and/or the internet. (My phone, the S24 Ultra, keeps time accurately.)

Approximately once a day, the watch synchronizes correctly, but then it drifts ahead by 2-3 seconds until the next synchronization. It seems there are two synchronization modes: a full one, which works correctly, and a "supporting" one, which introduces the error.

I'd also like to note that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024, the Google Watch 3, and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic all share this problem. Since all these watches run the same OS, I believe this is a synchronization bug in the operating system.

Running fast

I bought this a couple months ago, and ... still trying to figure it out.  Not the simplest watch to get going. I'm a senior so my learning curve is a little longer. Having trouble with the GPS, blood pressure (calibration) and Gemini apps. The battery has something to be desired, but I can work around it.

This sounds a little negative, but do love the watch. I bought it for the rugged looks and health applications.

I recently purchased a Galaxy watch 8 Classic 46mm advertising it as 46mm seems dishonest because the screen is basically 44mm. I purchased it believing it would have a large screen like my 6 Classic witch is easier than type on. I'm disappointed that the true display screen is not as advertised. It's basically a watch 8 44 plus a rotating bevel. Miss the sleek design on the classic 6.

I bought a Samsung watch mainly for the heart rate monitoring, but honestly the accuracy is disappointing. One time my battery level was at 47%, and the watch showed my heart rate as 47 bpm at the exact same moment. That made me seriously question how reliable the sensor really is.

The watch looks great and has useful features, but health tracking should be more accurate, especially for a premium smartwatch. Samsung needs to invest more in improving the accuracy and consistency of its heart rate monitoring. Right now, I wouldn't fully trust it for health-related tracking.
