My 1st Smartwatch

I am happy to have rejoined the Samsung family!! I just pick up my Samsung Galaxy9 Watch yesterday.  I have never had a Galaxy watch before, but I have had other brands.  So far, I love the flexibility of personalization of the watch! I used the sleep evaluation for the first time last night, I love the thorough information it provides. I am looking forward to learning all the cool things that I can already tell this watch is going to help me with! Perfect size, not bulky, easy to navigate! Thank you Samsung for making such an awesome product! And continuing to think of your user when creating your products, making them useful and user friendly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this watch due to that it's main purpose is to keep progressing with new upcoming software updates for future reference and I really like the smooth, modern, yet very elegant body piece of this galaxy 9 model. Also, my favorite improved feature of this galaxy 9 watch is the battery performance which this  has a much reduced charging time, including the super fast charge capability, I'm highly satisfied that it doesn't take too much time to charge up to 100% and that's a plus for me.

My Favorite Galaxy Watch Ever

While most of the system is similar to the Watch 8, the health monitoring system has been significantly upgraded and has been very helpful to me. In particular, it provides detailed tracking of my physical condition while I sleep. I hope everyone can benefit from the Watch 9 in managing their health.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start with the good. I like the look of the watch and the bands. Coming from the watch 7,I would say that this is an upgrade. I also like the new watch faces. They are quite fun. The health features have improved, offering more insight into my health. 
The bad. The battery is clearly worse in this years iteration than in previous years. I barely make it a day with the same settings in my watch 7 that got me at least a day and a half. I know it's still early but this is disappointing. I'm also experiencing some sound issues while connected to a call. Overall this is a bit disappointing and I'm awaiting a fix from Samsung. I choose to keep this watch because I already sent my trade in back to Samsung.

Missed the Mark on this one.

The watch itself seems to be very good.  I would like better battery life or it would be fantastic.  As far as options for chargers - not even 1 star, come on Samang, you can't launch a new product and not have any charger options out there!  (even better - make it clear that the Watch 9 doesn't work with the charger pucks of the last 10 years of watches - you had a very established trend that disappeared without notice)

Nice watch with serious charger issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Watch 9 because I've had 2 other Samsung watches that I absolutely loved.  I love this watch, but you cannot charge it with anything other than the puck charger it came with.  It will not even charge on the back of my brand new Zfold 8 Ultra.  It is ridiculous.  Samsung does not have a charger you can buy so there is no extra.

Don't bother

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the ultra watches for a few years now, the 2024, 2025 watches froze, weekly, daily, reboot, clean the catche, etc etc, no fix.  Traded in the 2024 for a non freezing 2025.  Nope it froze also.  I loved the ultras, the data etc.  the 2023, was the last ultra to not freeze.
So traded in my ultra 2025 for the galaxy 9.  Yeah a non freezing watch.
I did not want another freezing watch so left the ultra line and went back to the Galaxy line, 9 new. 

5 days after starting to wear it, it froze, once. Reboot, the next day 3 times.  Returning it now. 

I love the watch, how it tracks, connects to the phone. Tracks my health, exercise etc. 

I HATE that it freezes, only fix reboot.  

I am a very loyal Samsung user. Tablets, phones, watches.   

I wish they would fix this recurring issue, going on for years now.

Love my Samsung watches, but freezing again

For the first few weeks I owned my Watch 9, 40mm Bluetooth version, it was great, battery life was excellent.  It was comfortable to wear and battery life was as good as my Watch 8. However the last 4 days battery life has been terrible. I cant even get 12 hours out of it before the battery is almost drained. I contacted support, they were no help at all. Unfortunately I traded in my Watch 8 for this Watch 9 and already mailed it back to Samsung. Samsung says if I return my Watch 9, I cant have my Watch 8 back. Which is ridiculous, they know which one they have is mine, because they inspect it and give a report if it passed inspection or not. So now I'm stuck with a useless watch 9. They insist there is nothing wrong with it because the battery test app says its fine, but clearly its not. Also bizarre, its charging way too fast. Normally its 90 minutes to close to 2 hours to charge from 10% to 100%, but when this battery drain issue started, its also charging crazy fast. Like under 30 minutes for 10% to 100%. I dont know if there was an update in the last week, or if it just suddenly became defective, but I'm seeing people on Reddit and Samsung Members app complaining of the same issue. While Samsung pretends nothing is wrong. I've had numerous Samsung watches over the years and never had an issue with any of them. I'm extremely disappointed wit this one. Do better Samsung and stop denying there is a problem and fix it.

Started out great, 3 weeks later its awful

The watch band was too tight for my wrist and I even went out and bout the next size up and it was still to small. Samsung should make a l/xlg version so people with big wrists can actually use their products. Also the battery life does suck. I charged it to 100 percent and by morning I was down to 50 percent. The display, accuracy, and durability were good though but until samsung can make bigger bands I will not be buying a watch from them.
