I haven't owned a radio in over 20 years. I thought I would be disappointed at first.  I was intimidated by the set up ( I am 80 years old) and it was much smaller than I expected. BUT , I read the directions slowly and carefully and had it set up in 10 minutes or less and it's just the right size that I can pack it when I travel. The sound is fabulous    ( like a much larger receiver) and clear as a bell. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

A Radio that goes anywhere.

Love this radio.  Although I wanted a portable I was surprised that  no plug in cord came with it.  They just tell you the specifications of the cord to buy.   Nonetheless this radio is great.

Very good well made radio that looks great. Compact with good sound quality considering the size. Easy to use for setting the stations and clock. Size makes it good for travel or camping. Also good for the kitchen or bathroom.

Great Radio

Compact, EZ to setup, great reception in urban and rural settings, broad frequency range for AM and FM, strong signal reception for distant stations, case has solid and tactile feel, hard to beat the price to vale equation.  Great buy if you are looking for dependable, basic radio to use in different settings.

Great radio. I wanted this radio in this color for a long time. This is my third Dungeon radio. The others are different models. But from my experience with them, I knew this would be top notch. Because Sangean makes very good radios. This radio pulls in distant stations that other radios can't. It is larger than I expected, but I have grown to love it. Using rechargeable batteries, so the battery hog thing doesn't apply here. I bought this radio to work exclusively on batteries. I have two Sony Boomboxes that I can plug in anytime I want. For my purpose this radio is just right. Perfect, no. Great yes.

Great Little Radio for Camp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Must order ac adapter seperately, adds to cost.  Any stations preset only hold for 30 minutes in event of power outage or unplugging.  More expensive Sangean radios are worth the money, but not this one - at least not for me.
