In the mid-1990s I ran in Saucony shoes and in 1996 trained for, and ran in, the Marine Corps Marathon wearing Saucony.  More recently I began having foot pain (too much walking in flip-flops) and at first started wearing another brand to do my daily 5+ mile walks with my dog. The other brand seemed to wear out quickly so I decided to give Saucony a try and I'm happy I did. They are comfortable and seemingly more durable than the previous brand I was wearing.

Got these on a Black Friday sale at a steal. Fit is true to size, has the right amount of room in toe box but not too much. Took sometime for the initial heel slip to go away but after 50 miles or so I'm able to snug them down well and heel slip has gone away.

Solid Trainer

The guides are one of my favorite shoes for my long runs. I've been buying them since the guide 12's I believe.

Love Saucony shoes. Great for my pronation and support for my feet. Been wearing Saucony's for a long time.

Great shoes

I have worn Saucony for years but didn't like the Guide 14. Went to Brooks and missed the comfort of Saucony. These 16s are really nice.
The only thing keeping me from recommending them for everyone is consistent "pop" in the sole while walking on solid floors in my right shoe (tile and hardwood).
It may be a flaw in mine only, and I discovered it too late to return, but it can be annoying. I hope no one else has this issue, but it will not keep me from trying the next model (I think).

Came back to Saucony from Brooks

I started running 47 years ago. Some of the best advice I received was to find a brand of shoe that made you comfortable and to never waiver. It took me two years of trial and error to find Saucony with which I am bound at the ankle. It reduces injuries when you have the right shoe.

Find a brand that works for you.

Good shoe for daily training. Somewhat heavier than Kinvara's or Endorphin Pro's. Shoelaces don't seem to stay tight and tied together.

Otherwise a solid daily training shoe which offers fairly good foot protection against pronation/heel striking.

Good daily training shoe

I bought this shoe about 1 month ago. It is very uncomfortable and the heel design is horrible. Have had several pair of Saucony shoes and have loved every pair. This pair not so much. Highly disappointed with the overall design and comfort. Old soles in my opinion are much better.

Fit is great, but when you walk the soles make noise as if it's coming loose. So distracting that I do not wear them.

Love Saucony but disappointed in the Guide 16

I have been wearing Guides for years – this is my fourth pair. I have been wearing their pair for a few weeks, and they fit great and have great structure.

However, the bottom sole has worn down extremely quickly. It's also as if it's made of styrofoam. I am wearing them in the same way I've worn previous generations, and this is the first time I've encountered this issue. It is extremely disappointing.
