I purchased this sneaker to run the San Antonio marathon. I recently had pulled my hamstring and was slower with more steps for 26 miles than I typically require to complete a marathon. The shoe was very responsive to my heavier stride and increased finishing time. I normally finish a Marathon anywhere from 3:35 to 3:55 but my pulled hamstring injury required me to run a cautious 4:45. The sneaker was supportive the entire journey with bounce and stability the entire ride. The run took me a long time to finish, The shoe was comfortable the entire journey, I am going to invest in a more expensive model of Saucony sneakers as I now trust Saucony sneakers to provide supportive comfort for 26.2 miles. This shoe exceeding my expectations and was a bargain at the purchase price.

I'm a marathon runner who typically goes through 4 pairs of shoes a year, and the Saucony Ride 18 has quickly become my top pick. The cushioning strikes a perfect balance between comfort and responsiveness — soft enough for long runs, but still snappy on tempo days. The fit feels natural, secure, and broken-in right out of the box.

In my opinion, the Ride 18 outperforms the Hoka Clifton 9, ASICS Gel-Nimbus 26, and New Balance FuelCell models I've used. It's lighter, smoother, and the overall ride feels more stable over high mileage. For runners who want a reliable, versatile daily trainer that holds up across marathon training cycles, this one's hard to beat.

Overall great shoe

I've been running in Rides for several years now. I find them to be a very well done, neutral shoe, with good cushioning while still responsive (not the pillowy max cushion feel). Saucony has done a good job of updating the shoe without making any fundamental changes that "fix" things that aren't broken. As long as that continues, these will be my primary traning shoes (i get about 400 miles/pair).

My ride(s) or die

My Ride 18s have been a fantastic pair of runners. I've had them for just shy of a month and have logged a modest 30km on them ranging from longer duration zone 2, to tempo, and Vo2 max runs. They've been great throughout all of those runs. I'm 35, 215lbs, have a history of low back injuries, and used to run in minimal-style shoes. The cushion of the Ride 18 is comfortable without detracting from my underfoot awareness, and the stability is great. These shoes are very accommodating for a mid-foot to toe strike running style and would likely do well for heel strikers too. The toe box is a bit narrower than some of the brands known for high-cushioning but I haven't found an issue with my wider than normal foot. The fit is a bit longer with my size 10 being about 1/2” longer than other brands in the same size, this isn't a deal breaker but something to be aware of if you plan on taking these into some semi-technical terrain (even though they aren't meant for that).

Fantastic Daily Runner - Comfort, Stable, Aware

Started a few years ago with Ride 16, than Ride 17 and now this is my fourth pair of Ride 18. I wear them for my daily runs and they last for 1000k in average. I really enjoy running with these as they are light and comfortable. On the ood side, the top mesh is fragile and all of them have “big toe holes”

My daily running gear

I bought these shoes a month ago and I love them for the price I got. They are a good combination of speed and cushion easy day shoes. I can do it all with these shoes. My feet are a bit wide but not wide enough to get wide shoes but these shoes have a mesh toe box to support my needs. I will say the ankle support is mediocre but other than that these are amazing shoes.

All Rounder Powerhouse

I was looking for a pair of shoes that would be cushioned just right for me because I had dealt with some running injuries in some previous years, these ones were and instant favorite for me! These ones gave me just enough cushion to feel really good and comfortable but also were versatile enough for many of my tempo runs as well! These shoes were great for me!

The Ride 18's were an amazing experience!

I have been very happy with the ride 18s I purchased. In my opinion,  the previous medel--ride 17s-- were a big disappointment  and a low point in your stream of models. I am relieved that rides have returned to their previous level of quality.

Return to the rides I love

Perfect fit and very comfortable.  I've been using the Kinvara since version 3 and have continued to use them all the way through version 15.  This Ride 18 is my first change in models for about 15 years and I have no regrets.

Very comfortable from the first wearing.

Unfortunately after wearing rides for over 5 models over the years, this version does not fit correctly and the stitching at front of the laces has excess material and rubs to the point they can't be worn.  I bought direct given I had no issues in the past.   Disappointed.
