I have no complaints beautiful solid desk.  I read a lot of reviews before I finally decided to get this desk in I am so glad I did. Some complaints was it was hard to put together it was that bad at all just follow step by step it works. It took about 10 hours to put together but it didnt seem like 10 hours! ️️️

First be prepared that it will take you around 10 hours to put this together.  I have purchased several pieces of Sauder furniture over the years so I'm familiar with how to put their items together.  If you're new to their furniture it could seem over whelming at first.   This desk is HEAVY!  Came in two boxes total weight combined is over 170 pounds.  The one box that had the desk top was dropped in transit and to my disappointment the end of the top was slightly damaged.  I decided to live with it as returning it would be a hassle.  To be honest it can't be noticed.   Directions are detailed, but again, knowing their furniture made it easier for me to put this together.  I've read some have taken up to two days to build this.  I highly suggest a power screwdriver.  The only tool you will use for this entire project and having one that is powered will save your hands.  Some screws are very long and this is very hard wood.   I totally love this desk and highly recommend it.

Great Desk just a lot of work to build.

I absolutely love this desk!  It does take some time to put it together but it is worth every minute! It is so luxurious and heavy duty! You won't be disappointed

Love this desk

Hey so I'm going to be honest. This took me about an entire day to put together. The quality isn't that cheap crap u get from ikea. Nah this is really sturdy this is worth every penny I paid for it. The desk is heavy also. My only complaint would have been some parts weren't labeled but common sense told me where to put them after looking at the instructions.

The desk is beautiful. It took awhile to put together but well worth the time.

Overall we like the desk. We had ordered a similar desk from Wayfair and after waiting 2 months for delivery, we were told the desk was lost. We then ordered this desk from Walmart. It was delivered within the week. Just as other reviews said, the assembly is very difficult and time consuming. We paid extra to have the desk assembled. The person doing the assembly had a great attitude and was doing a good job, but we realized it was not going to be completed before bedtime, so my husband assisted for at least 3 hours. Overall the assembly took 10 hours. We felt guilty about the amount we had paid for assembly, so we paid the person extra! We are happy with the desk, but the assembly is ridiculous!

Good desk...Ridiculous assembly.

I scoffed at other reviewers who claimed this desk took 8-10 hours to assemble. It no joke took me about 8 hours over the course of 4 days and I still have the blister scar on my palm to prove I followed the directions and did not use a drill. The directions were clear, if you read them - this is not an ikea build with every picture detailing your steps - you MUST read the directions and yes it does matter that J goes on the right and R goes on the left. 

With all that said, it is a very heavy, sturdy desk. Plenty of storage and holds two large monitors and a laptop without a problem. The hidden cables work perfectly to keep things are neat and clean as they can be considering how many devices I have to power.  I chose not to use the square plate knob fittings. 

Great bang for the buck.

Worth the effort!

No way can someone assemble this in a few hours. I am very methodical with an engineering background and it took me two days. I did enjoy the process.

This desk is absolutely beautiful and once built (which is very time consuming but we expected that from reading the other reviews) it's very sturdy.  And the little hidden compartment in the back is a fun bonus. However, we ordered it specifically because of the amount of drawer space it has but the drawers turned out to be pretty awful.  They don't line up correctly on the entire right side so they don't close all the way and all 7 of them are nearly impossible to open.  We followed the directions exactly, look up the video tutorials and have taken the rails of multiple times to try and adjust and we just have to conclude that maybe the holes are not drilled quite right.  I work from home and use this desk every day and it's very frustrating to have to fight with the drawers every time I need a file or pen. Chances are we will try to find something else.
