Although this exceeds my current back-up needs, the cost was low enough to make it worthwhile. This is a brand I've used in the past and haven't ever had problems.

These are great external hard drives. I now have 4 of these. One for every tv in the house. Great for watching my own content when I want. Never had a problem with any of them. These are great hard drives. Get one or 2 ,you won't be dissapointed!!!!

Great Hard Drives

The Expansion USB Hard Drive interfaced effortlessly with my 13-year-old Windows 10 i5Core desktop.  I simply installed a new directory in the Seagate drive and moved files (and sub-directories) into that location.    Drag %26 Drop as well as Copy/Paste worked fine.  The loading speed seems fine.  I moved approximately 560 GB into the drive without problems.

This was a wonderful purchase. Quick set up and runs seamlessly on my device. Great for peace of mind.

Great device if you have a stationery computer station...but because my son moves his laptop throughout the house constantly, I had to return it.

It has stopped working several times. I have tested different outlets, different adapters...
I'm only keeping it because it's past the return date and I could probably have a friend convert this into an internal hard drive instead.

I have many Seagate drives a lot of them, the portable USB only. this one here requires a plug-in to power supply. there's only so many plugs in my house. I needed one that just plugged into a computer and ran off the computer's power so I haven't actually installed it or used this. I'm sure it's a good drive. Seagate makes good drives but if you have limited plugs this is not for you. I'm having to return it.

I purchased this product to backup around 100GB of photos. It downloaded less than 20% and said it was complete. Difficult to see which one it downloaded and it ones didn't. Rendering this product essentially useless unless you spend hours manually sorting.

Did not work as advertised

its a crap made box and its transferring rate is crap and it dose not even have a fan but it needs a power cord.
