I have really dry scalp and bad dandruff at one point. The conditoner really help with that. Ever since i've been using it, my scalp hasnt been dry or itchy and dandruff is a thing in the past. my hair feel light and bouncy. My curls are more define, sliky and shiny. Its a conditioner blessing. I highly suggest anyone who suffers from dry ichy scalp THIS your best buy. The only con, not enough ounces for the price. I go through the bottle quick.

I've been using this as my co-wash for about a month now and I'm really happy with the results. I wash my hair every four days.   
Hair is very soft, and combs through easily. Smell is nice too. Not overpowering. I'll be using this stuff for a long time.

Great as a co-wash for 2B, fine hair.

What I love : The minty scent and the applicator! I love how you can give yourself a little massage before you shampoo. 

What I didnt love : I wish you could close the spout while still using the applicator. Maybe I was massaging too much lol, but I feel like I was using too much product and accidentally applying more product when I was only trying to massage with the applicator part of the bottle. Heads up!!! Rinse really well!!! If you use too much product, you will have leftover scrub/beads in your hair ... 

Overall, love this prepoo. The bottle just needs to be fixed.

This product is absolutely incredible! I have such severe scalp inflamation that I used to have to use prescription shampoos that left my hair looking nasty, but since switching to this Charcoal line (an excellent replacement for the discontinued Black Soap Dandruff shampoo), my inflamation and itching is completely gone - and this treatment above is incredible! The cold tingling is perfectly intense and it smells amazing! If you're having issues with using too much product, squeeze some into your palms and use your fingers to rub it into your scalp - then use the comb thing to further rub it in if you can (the combs are a little too tight for my hair so I mainly use my fingers.) This saves a ton of product rather than doing it by the instructions. I also shampoo and rinse before applying (and after) and this also helps it glide through better and helps the ingredients penetrate an oily or dry scalp. I hope this treatment is NEVER discontinued (but the comb tool COULD be wider spaced!) Excellent!

Incredible!

I was having a pretty terrible flare of my scalp psoriasis after getting goddess braids on an unwashed head (will never do again). My scalp was so bad that it turned white and was super tense. This may not have the best smell, but its WAY better than the tar shampoos I use when I have a flare (that tar smell lasts for days and gives me awful migraines). This coupled with the shampoo and conditioner of the same line cleared my scalp back to normal. That was over a month ago and now I've been flake free ever since. I'm a physician and don't recommend this stuff unless you actually have real scalp issues like eczema or psoriasis. And even then, I'd save it for when you're having an active flare. Otherwise, my hair loves the JBCO line.

I have so much hair that it is hard to reach my scalp. I liked the concept of a scalp scrub, but I don't think this is a good product for me. I tried using it and it was just getting in my hair and I don't think it did anything for me. My boyfriend, who has a lot less hair than I do, absolutely loved this product so I gave it to him.

didn't work for me

I was looking for something to clean my scalp well, without stripping it and my hair if it's natural oils. Since switching to organic hair care and only using Shea Moisture shampoos and conditioners the past 6 months I have definitely had a positive change in my hair. I don't use styling tools on my hair. I use 1 leave in styler (Ecoslay Orange Marmalade) and air dry or diffuse on low/cool. I have low porosity, medium length, wavy hair. So my hair is prone to product build up. Shea Moistures shampoos are all made with heavy emollients, like Shea butter, which leave my hair quite greasy. I've found that their Detox shampoo with african mint and ginger has been the best for me. It cleans my scalp extremely well and does not dry out my hair at all and doesn't make it greasy at all. I thought this would be nice to use every once in a while to do a deep cleanse, even if it made my hair dry. I have a deep conditioner I am ready to use but this made my hair so greasy and limp!! I was actually shocked by how greasy my hair was! I have tried their Apple cider vinegar, black castor oil shampoo and it's less greasy but thanks to the protein, made my hair stronger instead of limp. Castor oil is too heavy for me though. I am also caucasian, so I don't know if that means I need lighter products but this was definitely a miss. I am going to try Shea Moistures a Sacha Inchi clarifying shampoo as my last ditch effort to get a clarifying shampoo for Shea Moisture. All that has worked for me so far is the Briogeo scalp scrub but it contains xylitol and I have 2 dogs. So I am scared to even have it in the house.

Makes my hair MORE OILY!!!

This conditioner did absolutely nothing for me. Had very little slip to my hair so detangleing was a NIGHTMARE. I washed it out and had to reuse my normal products. I am a 4C natural and I dont recommend this at all. I used the left overs to shave my legs
