I Didn't Want To Order Mattresses Online & When I Seen This Mattress Come Home I Thought For Sure I Had Made A Mistake. It Came Rolled Up Like A Long Skinny Punching Bag. But When We Opened In And Slit The Plastic This Gem Came To LIFE! It Took A Day To Fully Expand To The Original Size And This Is The Best Mattress EVER. And Very Cheap! So Comfortable. You Can't Feel The Person Next To You Move & It's Soft Like A Pillow Top :)

My boyfriend and I were moving into a new apartment and needed to buy our first-ever bed. We didn't have much budget for a fancy new mattress so after reading the reviews on here, we decided to try this inexpensive bed. I was a bit leery, as I'm sure most of you are/were, simply because I imagined the worst--a thin, hard, pokey mattress made of cheap materials.

I was so, so wrong to worry! Yes, this mattress is 8" thick. But within the 8" is a dense mixture of springs, padding, and pillow-top. It's not much to look at but when you feel it and lay or sit on it, you can tell this thing has support! I would describe it as relatively firm, with a soft top. I love the springiness, and it feels awesome on my back, which has a tendency to ache on bad mattresses.

Basically, if you are looking for an inexpensive, quality mattress, this is it! Great support and soft comfort in a deceptively unassuming mattress. Oh yeah, and the packaging is so fun. All rolled up and it hisses as it expands before your eyes! Watching it turn into a bed was almost worth the money alone!! :)

Don't let the 8" height or duffle bag scare you!

We bought this for our teenage son. He loves it. My husband is 6 feet 190 pounds and he thought it was surprisingly comfortable and supportive. It is almost like a memory foam mattress.

The mattress arrived in a big duffle bag and was very easy to pick up and carry upstairs. It was fun to watch the mattress "come to life" when we cut off the plastic wrap. My son slept on the mattress 5 hours later and it was perfect.

A terrific mattress and an excellent value. I will buy another for my college age daughter.

A great mattress and a great value.

working in the medical industry means long hours on your feet and a sore back at the end of the day so i wanted something that took the pressure off these points. the encased coils really do a great job of molding to your body to relieve pressure points and that means solid sleep for me =)

very comfortable bed for a great price.

We purchased two of these mattress one twin and one full size for our two granddaughters and the girls couldn't share enough praise with mom, dad, grand pop and me about how comfortable their mattress are which was of a great concern to me being as though I have never purchased a mattress without being in the store testing it out myself, so, you can just imagine my relief to know that the Signature Sleep Contour- 8" Independently-Encased Coil Mattress had the quality I expect for our most precious gems. The girls bragged so much about their mattresses that I had to what started as a test for me to wake up a few hours later laying in the comfort of their mattress. I originally bought this mattress with a lot of doubts. I have a hard time getting a comfortable mattress. I needed something cheap, and the bonus of being able to transport it in my little car suckered me in. Then I slept on it - amazing! I have spent hundreds more on mattresses in the past, and yet none of them were nearly as comfortable as this one! I recently moved, and it was cheaper to sell the mattress to a friend and buy a new one, so I just bought this again. Before I moved, my parents slept on the mattress one night, and they were impressed. They'd even just bought a Tempur-pedic, and were debating whether or not this might not have been a better purchase.

I know it doesn't seem right that a bed less than $200 (for the full) that comes in a duffle bag should have any quality, but it does!

Best mattress ever!

After sleeping on basic airbeds for the last couple of years since our last mattress became too worn out; I finally talked hubby into investing in a proper mattress. We didn't have a large budget to work with (part of why we had just bought cheap airbeds as needed), but we needed something that could support our combined weight and would last.

I wasn't too fond of foam type beds, but knew that springs can cause pressure-point issues. After reading how many springs this had, and the other rave reviews, we settled on this one. This is the most supportive and comfortable bed!
No more getting seasick when he shifts position or the dog jumps up or down off the bed. It has enough give that I can get away with only one pillow as a side sleeper, but solid enough that my almost 300# doesn't sink way into it.

If you need a quality mattress for an affordable price, this is the one to get.
Also, watching the bed "inflate" from its vacuum packed state was quite fun.

We already had a metal frame and box to set this up on. I would suggest having one or both of those just for more stability and to extend the life of the mattress.

Comfy & Supportive

I previously ordered a memory foam mattress for my master bedroom & ordered this one for my spare. Since then, I've been sleeping in the spare room & am going to switch mattresses into my master. This is a REALLY comfortable sleep over the memory foam which is a little too firm.

Bought this bed due to the 4.5 star reviews and the reasonable cost. I don't regret the purchase one bit! I like a firm bed and my husband likes them a little bit softer. I cannot sleep on memory foam due to foam sleeping hot (makes me sweat/holds heat), so we bought this one for the encased coils and hybrid like technology. It takes me a while to get used to ANY bed, but after 1 week so far I am sleeping better. I've read reviews that say this bed doesn't last more than a couple years without sagging, but for the money you save compared to other brands, you could buy a new one if that happens. I picked the contour 8 model because it allows for rotation and flipping of the mattress if any sagging or compression occurs with wear/use over time.

Pros:

Affordable Cost
easy of delivery/pick up and set up due to compression
Almost no odor (from foam)
Has the look and feel/plushness of mattresses 4x the cost
variety of depths/styles (material comp.) to choose from

Cons:
15 gauge coils used instead of 14 or 12 which would provide more long term support
and less sagging.
Less supportive structure along the edges compared to other innerspring mattresses
(if you're sitting on the edge of the bed, it doesn't feel very structured-more soft and too flexible)-it feels as if you might slide off.
1 yr warrenty

Overall this mattress is an excellent buy for the price. I would recommend it to others and already have. I hope it lasts more than 2 yrs, but if it doesn't...I'm ok with that because of its affordability.

A great value at a reasonable price!

It came in a space bag type thing as promised and is supposed to expand to 75 inches. Only made it to 72 and we are using it on a platform bed for my 2 year old so there are 3 extra inches (and sharp edges) hanging out. Must go back! It's our second try at a space bag type mattress and we are done!
