Door Operation

Ideal for small kitchens, fits perfectly.

Can be smooth and quiet, but may have gaps or be prone to damage.

Features a space-saving shape with smooth pedal action.

This garbage can is the perfect size for small kitchens and if you don't want a huge garbage can taking up a lot of space in your kitchen. However, it holds a lot of garbage. I do think it's overpriced but it was worth the money.

Best Space Saving Garbage Can

walmart.com

I did! My newly designed small kitchen design didn't have room for garbage and recycling and this butterfly unit was perfect. It's hidden in the corner. Easy open with your feet. It's quite close and love the butterfly top open design which minimizes the height of the opened lid. I bought the Simplehuman correct sized bags and they are worth it!!! Love the newest and hard working appliance in my kitchen.

Who gets excited about a garbage bin?

simplehuman.com

It is the perfect size for us. I don't cook much, so I prefer a small garbage can so I can pull the bag out every other day. The size is perfect for the recycling too. I had your smaller butterfly can before, I tried to order another one but you discontinued it. I'm glad you gave me this choice, it's even better!

Love it!

This garbage can manages to incorporate being sleek, stylish, and functional all in one slim design. I love that it has the recycler inside, which makes my life so much easier and keeps my kitchen counter cleaner as well. The butterfly lid is so quiet. I should have bought this garbage can years ago.

Sleek, Stylish, and Functional

Very happy with our new dual compartment butterfly step can. I was afraid the trash compartment would not be big enough, but it more than adequately holds all our garbage. The recycle bin is so convenient. I have not always been happy with Simple Human purchases but this one proved to be a great purchase

New Trashcan

We are downsizing into a retirement apartment and still wanted to recycle. This bin is perfect to safe space and facilitate our project.

Butterfly recycle bin

I bought this particular can because the lid opened in the middle, therefore, not banging the lid into my counter top! It works great, looks good, and doesn't slide across the floor when one steps on the lever to open it.

Love it. Wish I had purchased this one first.

The lid opens quicky when the foot pedal is depressed. The opening and closing of the lid is quiet. This garbage can holds a lot. It is easy to change the gargage bag liners.

The lid opens quicky when

Have owned other products from the Simplehuman lineup. Never disappoints, sturdy, durable, and nice to look at. Always get compliments on looks and functionality. Recommend 100%

Quality and Aesthetics

I love my butterfly step can, it has a strong and smooth motion, unlike the other brands. And it fits well in a narrow space next to the kitchen door.

Love my trashcan

I didn't like how big it looked compared to the other 45 I have. The return would have cost too much so I gave it away. Very disappointed.

Too big
