[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, the bench looks fantastic! It is exactly what we were looking for! The quality is really good! The item arrived undamaged. The only hiccup was assembly. Not so easy. We could not figure out how to install one detail but without it, it still works. Assembly is definitely two-men job.

I purchased the light Avalon brown bench; it is prettier in real-life, and darker than the picture. It's a nice size and holds quite a bit. I like how deep it is.
It's very solid, real wood, and I think it will hold up well to every-day wear & tear.
I highly recommend following ALL of the assembly directions, including having 2 people assemble it. I managed OK by myself, but attaching the lid was difficult alone. As a result, the lid is a tiny bit crooked so that it rubs on the side when it opens and closes. But again, this was my fault. I didn't use power tools (the instructions said not to)-- I'm pretty sure I would have scratched it if I had.
The only defect was one of the holes was drilled too deeply for attaching the backside. My husband had to order additional parts because the included screw was too short (because the hole was too deep). Also, I had a little trouble attaching the sides -- I put one on backwards & had to redo it. The directions weren't real clear on that step, but otherwise, they are very accurate.

Great, solid bench

This is a beautiful and sturdy bench. It took about two hours to put together and you only need one person. The true color of the wood is darker than the pictures and I ordered the tobacco brown one. I would call it espresso if anything. Storage area is deep and sturdy as well, which is great because we use this as a reading bench for my toddler and we store his favorite books inside. This is definitely worth the little bit extra in cost over the other benches like this.

Beautiful and sturdy bench

Great quality feels real solid can sit 2 adults comfortably, bought it to store blankets in and have for extra storage in our living room. Assembly was easy but you might need some help when it comes to putting the screws in the lid. Only drawback is the lid does not open up all the way but it is not a problem for me.

Comfy product!

I purchased this bench for a hallway. Chose it because it was all wood. Arrived well packaged & undamaged. Assembly was easy, I assembled alone just following the instructions. It's perfect for a child's room or area.  Much to small for adult sitting, especially not two adults. It's not the size of a regular bench that's why only four stars. I added a photo with & without regular sized decorative pillows to show the size.  A regular sized bench cusion couldn't fit this bench. Overall nice bench if the size is not an issue.

Love the color

It looks really great in my newly remodeled kitchen and will provide a great place for the grandchildren to look out the window and watch the birds.  This bench is really nice except for the lid support that is way too stiff.  I will contact the maker's customer support.

It has much less storage space than I expected. That's my own fault--I thought I had looked at the measurements.
Also, when assembled, the middle leg is 1/4 inch too short. It doesn't meet the floor. Otherwise, all ok.

Less storage than I expected

It's been only 2 weeks since we have assembled it. It's very small like kids bench .
After couple weeks paint is starting to chip off already and wood is getting bad underneath.
