This is a beautiful bookcase!  We bought both the 12 cube bookcase and the cocktail table with drawers.  The finish is really nice and it was easy to assemble.  Everything fit perfectly!  I highly recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color is beautiful.  So nice to find solid wood. Definitely worth the money. I will definitely buy again in the future. We are currently updating our home and this was a great update.

Solid wood

I looked everywhere for a place to store my vinyl LPs but they were way over priced or poorly designed.  

This on has good reviews and in my budget.  I hate flat pack (you assemble) as they are usually are flimsy junk.

First thing they used no Styrofoam or peanuts packing the unit.  They always make a mess.  

This isn't compressed wood or particle board.  It's small wood blanks glued together to make the boards.  Super strong and more companies are using this concept


Everything was clearly marked and instructions well written.  The parts packet even has a red flag.  The labels on each piece were areas they would never be seen..  It took a little over 3 hours to assemble.  Once together there was no wobble.  It was sturdy and solid piece that will last.  Once I got over 300 LPs in it the thing got more solid.

I can't recommend this company more.  While not solid hardwood it is strong and will hold up to my abuse.  The prices are fair to boot.

Wishes are one, it would nice to supply a furniture stain marker to patch up and dings during assembly.

Sturdy, looks nice and holds my vinyl record collection! Not too hard to build and much higher quality than many cube bookcases. It's not cheap but totally worth it for the quality. I also have the 9 cube in matching black.

Perfect cube bookcase to store vinyl records!

This is a beautiful bookcase in the exact color and size we were looking for! He bookcase came well packaged with no damage. Assembly was extremely easy with easy-to-follow instructions. All pieces were well-labeled to match the diagrams in the instructions. There was even an additional bag of hardware, labeled "extra hardware" in case you misplace something. My wife and I assembled the bookcase in about an hour, but we took our time. A note of caution: be careful as you are assembling the shelves to align the screws and be gentle when fastening everything. There is a possibility of chipping the paint around the screw holes if you aren't careful. We did this in a few areas, but backed out the screws and used some superglue to prevent the chips from completely detatching before re-fastening the screws. This only happened in 2 areas, so not a big deal. The bookcase looks great, is sturdy (Solid wood. Not cheap pressboard). I fully anticipate this bookcase lasting a long time.

Acadian 9 Cube Bookcase in White

We purchased this bookcase for our grandson's room. When we opened the box, there was a very strong chemical odor. We put the box in the garage for a week to let it air out. It still had a chemical smell, but we assembled it and put it in his room with the windows open. It has now been 6 months and while the odor is not as strong, it is still giving off fumes. We contacted SimpliHome and found out that the only remedy would be to disassemble and return the bookcase for a replacement. The box is long gone so, even if we wanted to disassemble it, we would need an appropriate box and padding to send it back and there is no guarantee that the replacement wouldn't have the same problem. It is very disappointing since we loved the style of the bookcase.
