I bought the split peas to serve with a steak and potatoes dinner! They were delicious and my friends and family loved them as well. This is now a to go item we buy on a weekly basis! I also serve the with meatloaf! I recommend it to my family and friends

Eliot peas are the best

I bought this brand for the first time since my regular brand wasn' t available. Because they were new to me I followed the directions and soaked beforehand. I noticed they cooked faster than I recall using other peas. The taste is good no different from other pea soups I have made. I recommend  Sitara split pigeon peas.

Pea Soup Anyone?

Delicious peas, use them mostly for a good hearty soup. Very filling and nutritious. Good quality product. Be wary of the side effects of these split peas.

Great Split Peas

My mother in law love these dried peas or any kind of dried packaged peas. She loves to make soup or stew and the slow process of cooking these. Brand or no brand these are just as good.

Sitara Pigeon Peas

The toor deals quality is measured based on how thick it turns after cooking. SITARA is a good quality daal and has good taste as well for price at Walmart.

Good Quality

My mother in law cooks with this and it has lived up to expectations. Nothing fancy but its a good base for your meals ans you can get quite creative with it.

Good For Making Many Dishes

I use split chickpeas a lot as I cook Indian food and I trust the brand. The quality is good, and it is evident from the lower soaking and cooking time it takes to make the perfect dal tarka! I will go back to buying this brand all the time.

A Kitchen Staple

I really had no idea what I was looking for when I purchased these. Due to the amount of new employees in my care from India I figured I should try some Indian dishes. I am not sure if I cook them right or if that is the way they are supposed to be. There were a lot of unusual ingredients in the dish I made not something I really cared for the texture was strange, but I will try again.

Split pigeon peas?

Quality was not good. Toor dal should be in proper shape and taste of this toor dal is not as i used use. It feels it has been processed in a wrong way. And it smells like burnt.

Not that good. For which i can give 5 star

As a Indian household, I do make a dal every day.
I live in a small town in Alberta and we do not have a Indian grocery store. So this is my only available option for making dal that serves my purpose. Though I wish that this could have been better like other available options for toor dal. Like better taste and easy to cook.
