My 3rd grade daughter loves these shoes. Without cartoon characters on them they are grown up enough for her but the lights and bright colors make them fun and age appropriate. Sketchers shoes are durable however my daughter wears them all the time so they do only last about 6 months with heavy use. The traction and toe areas are the first to go. As a runner myself 6 months of heavy use before wear out is pretty good. I find they last about as long as my asics and newbalances and have a slightly better price point for the kids.

These were a gift for my niece. As the "little" sister, she gets a lot of hand-me-downs. So we got her her own brand new shoes, and she loves them, won't take them off!

Made for a VERY Happy Birthday

My daughter got these for the new school year (she had Sketchers last year too). She loves that they light up. I love the colors and the fact that they go with everything. We love Sketchers for our kids because they are stylish, afordable and durable. The only down side to these is that after a lot of wear and tear, the strap doesn't stay. Once her last pair were old enough, we just cut the strap off when it wouldn't hold anymore.

My daughter loves them!

I purchased these shoes for my 4 year old daughter to wear with her school uniforms. After wearing them 2-3 times, I noticed that the bottom part of the shoe (close to the heal) had already torn and the color had already been scraped from various sections containing the lights. While a great fashion choice, the bottom of the shoe is too soft to handle normal kid's play on the inside and playground.

I would not buy this product again.

I love the style of this shoe, we both the navy version and it's dark so as my daughter wears them they don't look dirty immediately but the colorful background peaks through making it more fun than a one color shoe. They are so far her favorite sneakers this school year and she will not wear shoes that aren't comfortable to her.
