It is one of the oldest and most well-known vinegars in Chinese cuisine, with a history dating back over 1,500 years.  This dark, aromatic vinegar is made from various grains, including glutinous rice, wheat, barley, and peas. The grains undergo a fermentation process, transforming into alcohol and then vinegar with the help of specific microorganisms. The vinegar is typically aged in large pottery jars or wooden barrels, contributing to its unique flavor and characteristics.

Great asian flavor

I'm a huge fan of vinegar as a condiment, I also love vinegar for dumplings. This product didn't taste right... Kind of like when beer tastes old and syrupy. Something was off...
