This little guy is portable, bass-heavy, and waterproof! What more could you want in a speaker of this size? The XB13 is not as loud as I was expecting but I found that this speaker works best in an enclosed space or a space with a couple of people like at the beach.
The lows stand out the most in this speaker as it says in the name. Battery life is also amazing. I rarely have to charge the XB13. Battery life is around 16 hours. The wrist strap is convenient too as I have used it to hang the speaker on tents or trees in some gatherings I've been to. All in all, this is a solid choice for those who are looking for a portable speaker with great sound!

Lots of Bass in Small Form!

I needed an affordable option for a Bluetooth speaker during my vacation. The Sony SRS-XB13 obliges to deliver enough sound for a room just as needed. Sony continuously exceeds my expectations, even on products I figured were too cheap to wow me. The sound is clear, crisp, and even phone calls work and sound great on the little cylindrical wondrous speaker.

Affordable Sound Maker

Small speaker which fits perfect in my golf cart cup.  Small but MIGHTY sound.  Love it!  With the side strap it makes it easy to take out!  Great Design!

SRS-SB13

This is actually my 2nd Sony SRS_XB13 Extra Bass speaker in the past 2yrs. I used my first one almost 2yrs ago. A lot on construction job sites, canoeing, swimming, socializing and having beverages this little speaker has lived up to its name. I think it's great actually when one of my friends has a "Full size pill speaker and thinks it's top notch" and I'm not one to boast but I'm like "... hey man, check out my little speaker for real. And if you place it evenly especially on a thin wood table surface it will even amplify the bass through the surface it is sitting on. And I'm always wanting to be the ""d.j."... I do not like that term I just love music and this speaker is worth every penny. I wouldn't hesitate purchasing another Sony product.

Sony SRS_XB13 Excellent quality.

This compact speaker packs a punch! Looks solid, bass from such a small unit is impressive, easy to set up and easy to keep close by.

Impressive bass

I bought a new one bc my old one kept spazzing out and like making a weird sound and if I blasted it at full volume and it would disconnect itself so I would have to hold the power button and muffle it till it shut off and reconnect it at a lower volume.

Wonderful! Better then the SRS-XB12

I won this speaker in a lottery, and I love it. My ears are not as good as my spouse's so I had my TV at a volume where I could hear it, but my wife had to have earplugs in. Now with the Bluetooth I can switch over to this little speaker and have it close to me, without blasting my poor wife out of the house. It is also portable, so I can haul it around with me when I travel, or sit out on my deck. It also had rechargeable batteries which you could charge using the provided USB port and cord.

Lottery Prize

The speaker has a great design. Its waterproof and easy to clean which makes it even better for me. The strap comes in handy although you need to be careful when removing it because if it creases it becomes impossible to do so without something to stretch it out again. For the size of the speaker, its sound quality is pretty good. My use for it is in a small place so I don't get too analytical in that department. The only thing that pains me the most is how much the volume goes down when the battery is running low.

Great for the most part

I recently purchased this speaker to replace the B-12 I had. It had quit charging and since it was a gift i had no receipt so Sony couldn't honor their 1 year warranty. Now i have a receipt so I'm more hopeful, although I feel it should exceed the warranty they set. The clarity of sound is terrific although the Bluetooth range isn't as good as the ear device.

Clarity

We purchased about  2 months ago and worked fine.  Then the speaker no longer turns on and no longer charges.  We attempted to re-set per the sony website instructions; but nothing.  We are seeking a warranty as there appears to be a defect with this device.
