Can be solid and sturdy, but also prone to poor craftsmanship.

It does take time to assemble. I did it by myself and it took a few hours. There was a part on the bottom that I couldn't screw in because they forgot to do pre-drilled holes but otherwise I love it! It isn't real wood so its lighter than a real wood dresser but that is common. The color is perfect. It is smooth when you pull out the drawers. The handles are heavy duty and beautiful. SO I love the aesthetic of it. I just recommend downloading the app; when you open the direction booklet there is a QR barcode that will take you to an app, that helped so much with the process because it can be confusing and overwhelming.

Exactly what I wanted!

Genuinely really impressed with this piece - always a little nerve-wracking buying furniture online, especially when the reviews are so varied. This is really pretty fantastic value, and is study (every drawer is full of clothes - 3x drawers full of jeans and 3x drawers full of pjs/althetic wear) and has a 40" TV on top.

Putting it together was simple enough - it took a couple of hours, but I was able to do it alone (23 year old female) while I watched a movie. Only thing to note is that the larger locks are for the dresser, and the smaller are for the drawers - this wasn't super clear, so I wound up using them the opposite way which was a little annoying. Not a big deal though.

It looks great too - I like it so much that I've encouraged my brother to get one.

Great value - I'd buy it again

I have had this dresser for only a couple days now, so this review is only on shipping, assembly and appearance! Shipping was on time, and the delivery man helped carry it in my house! This box is heavy, I had to sit on the floor and push it with my feet to the hall outside of my room. I had the hardest time opening the box, I finally had to just hack into it with a knife (be careful). When I opened it the pieces where in nice shape and labeled! The top piece had a few gouges in the back side but not that bad, I used the marker to get as much of it covered. Assembly was easy but long I recommend putting all the drawer pieces to the side and out of the way. Take your time in laying it out before hand also use wood glue as well! The drawers are easy! I put the lock pieces in last and tightened last it made them feel stronger. Still use wood glue to keep these strong! This dresser does take up to two hours to set up! Defiantly take you time so it comes out correctly and good! I am usually really picky and at first I thought the drawers did not align perfectly. I was bothered by it but no one else would notice the half centimeter of difference. The drawers space is decent! Over all I really do love it and hope with the wood glue it will last for awhile! My room is so small I have to put my 42" or 40" tv on it. It's does not feel shaky or unstable so I'm satisfied about that was well!

Perfect for a small room and budget!

The instructions to assemble the dresser were super easy and all parts were clearly labeled. The outer material had a small crack in it when it arrived and one board included was a completely different color from the rest. That's why I took off a star. The different color board is from the back inside piece that doesn't show, so it's nothing that is worth returning the item for. It's not made of the finest quality materials. But it's worth the price you pay. The finished product looks great and they even include a little touch up marker in the packaging.

Decent quality Overall solid snd sturdy piece of furniture. Very nice looking. More sturdy than previous South Shore furniture I've purchased in the past. Can't beat price for what you're getting. Only reason for a poor review is In our case the place to attach the handles was improperly spaced and new holes  had to be drilled to mount them. Directions are pretty clear FYI if drawers come out lopsided then the brackets are upside down.

Just ok

Took me about 2 hours to put this together by myself, which I thought was pretty reasonable. A couple of the braces were recycled materials, so they were a different color than the others and also not the same size which was disappointing. Everything you can see matches and looks pretty good put together, but the material is apparently very soft as a few pieces were damaged in shipping.

Okay quality

Very poor quality. I had it professionally assembled so I know it's not due to incompetence there. Already had a handle fall off, the back of one drawer fall off, the drawers slam, and they don't open smoothly. Save your money. Only reason to get it is if it's decorative like for a guest bedroom and not actually going to be in use. Disappointed but don't want to disassemble to try and return…

Planks damaged, drawer panel missing hole for handle, different colored planks than product (not sure if matters), broken drawer handle...have to call today for remedy as it's 95% assembled and I refuse to take this thing apart!

Numerous issues

We ordered the dresser and nightstand for our daughter's room. The directions were hard to follow and we put a few pieces on incorrectly, but it was too late to fix the mistakes once discovered. We've put similar furniture together in the past with no issue, with similar instructions, but the dresser and nightstand pieces were not labeled clearly and the instructions were hard to follow. They are both also smaller than I expected despite measuring the spaces according to the details on the website.

Also, the items were not packaged to prevent damage during shipping, so every corner on the dresser was damaged from being crushed in the shipping process. There was also a drawer front that was cracked. It's virtually impossible to replace a single piece, like the dresser top, so we will leave it as is, but I'm extremely disappointed based on the price and time involved to assemble.

Dresser/Nightstand

Upset about this dresser, the screws didn't fit the handles that were provided, we had to improvise with silicon to get them to stay on, and the back piece didn't fit properly and was a completely different color, good thing that section is against a wall. Definitely wouldn't purchase anything in the future
