I had a 7 speed KAid which all of a sudden quit. This Black and Decker was probably half the price of that, which money saved is good especially when not sacrificing quality! That being said, this Black and Decker is 5 speeds and much more powerful than my previous and these powerful 5 speeds don't take in to account the turbo boost, which I have not had to use as of yet. I am very very pleased with this purchase.  I got the red. Wish they offered a true blue color too.

This is a great blender. Black and Decker is a good brand. Ive been wanting a purple blender for the longest time, to match my purple kitchen. This one is the perfect one. I like the storage case, which is very convenient. Also, the speeds with turbo is a plus.

Bought for wife, she loves it.  Used several times here over Turkey weekend.  She very happy with it.

Great item.

I like nearly everything about this mixer. It does a wonderful job. I haven't used the dough hooks or the whisk, but the regular ones are neat and work so well. I don't like that the attachments are VERY difficult to get inserted correctly. Sometimes I've spent 5 solid minutes with all my ingredients waiting in the bowl to ever get them attached! From now on, I will attach them prior to mixing my ingredients. I got the green one :) And I love the look of it too.

Very powerful Mixer. I like it

This is the third Black   Decker hand mixer I've owned over two decades. I have always loved their power and durability. I do NOT like the new style of beaters on this newer version. I use a hand mixer 3-5 times a week. The shape of these splatter batter everywhere. I would love this one as well if I could get the old style beaters again. The beaters from my old mixer would not fit. I tried! I would gladly give a better review if you would let me order some old style beaters to use on this small appliance. The helix beaters make a terrible mess.

Bad style on the beaters!

I thought I would like this but I really do not despite the fact that it packs nicely into its own little package for storage. The plastic beaters fling the contents of the bowl out and make a big mess no matter how deep the bowl or what you are mixing. Whipping cream everywhere! What a waste. I wish I had not donated my older mixer. I will be donating this one and looking for a more conventional type beater. Never even tried the dough hook or whisk beater.

Very disappointing!

I bought this mixer a month or so ago.  Immediately discovered that those cool looking beaters are absolute garbage.  They pull the batter up the spindle.  You have to shut the mixer off, use a spatula to push it back down and try again .. over and over.  The hand rest does not work.  Well, it works fine if the beaters are not installed but if they are, all it does is fall forward.  The cord is still so stiff, it just isn't softening up so it gets in the way of the mixing process.  The turbo only goes as fast as the top speed - I mean what's the purpose?  If you want it top speed, set it to top speed.  All in all this was a bad purchase on my part.  Do not waste your money on it.

i hate everything about this mixer!! i shoulda returned it a year ago just never thought about it!  i just used it again and it reminded me that i hate it. everything you beat with it runs up the beaters if i could id return it to blackndecker

HATE

I wanted to love this mixer!  If the butter was the least bit cold, the chunks wouldn't mix in.  I've barely used this (had for only eight months!), and the beaters keep falling out while in use!  I am so upset!   Black Decker is such a good brand, have had their food processor for years with no issues!

Beaters Fall Out Randomly While Using!

Had a ton of lumps in mashed potatoes.. gave it the benefit by buying an additional bag of potatoes to see if the end result would be the same, and it was 
so I hadd to return it for a cheaper model that had metal beaters. Which was just what was needed. The metal beaters do work best for potatoes
