The yarn comes in a skein of 5 smaller balls. It is not rocket science to unwind. The yarn has such a luxurious feel to it. I wish it was made in larger one unit quantities. It is a yarn of multi thread definition. As with most yarns . ( if you use a variety of textures) you need to get acquainted with it to be able to work the way you wish. I have ordered this yarn many times and never been disappointed

Yes you have to take a little time to roll 5 skeins into balls, but they are very small balls. The colors are OUTSTANDING! I bought some of the sets just for a particular color on each and changed the sets into different color schemes. This yarn is buttery soft! Oh my its so soft I would use it for underwear but that would be bulky so....
Yea it has a little problem with splitting but the price is fabulous and Im willing to work with it regardless.
The good outweighs the bad in a big way, and Im not a yarn snob, so there ya go!

I love this yarn!!!

Like others here, I have noticed the disappointing features: small yarn hanks that take time to re-wind, by hand into pull-balls and is time consuming and annoying; the slight fraying of the yarn if you have to frog and go back. But I will say that despite those hiccups, I enjoy the yarn. The color selections are incredible and make fore perfectly coordinator multi-color projects. The softness of the yarn is wonderful so is a great fibre for close-to-the-body knits like gloves and cowls. The price for the amount of yardage is a teeny bit high but I realize I am paying for the convenience of having lovely color-coordinated skeins so I don&#x27;t have to choose it. So, with that said, this is a good, but not great yarn. I&#x27;d probably buy it for one or two specific projects I do like a cowl that works great for those mini skein sets, but it wouldn&#x27;t be one of my regular yarns.

Good, not a Great yarn set

Absolutely love the packaging (the braid)! Very useful for accent color or mini skein projects; however, I wished there were full skeins of the solids!!! The yarn has an unbelievably high twist, but when unraveled, you lose the twist completely! Oh dear! The yarn colors are very rich and dark (autumn like)... and the yarn itself is very soft! Nice! Wished there were brighter colors and more of a color selection (Pantone has 100s of colors!)... I also thought it was a tad pricy, considering its only 125yds... the label says its a 5-bulky... its more of a light Aran or worsted weight than a bulky... very nice to knit with but Im not sure if I would purchase this again.

Love the feel of the yarn. Very disappointed that the yarn even for the same color was separated into 5 small hanks. very time consuming to wind reach and on top of that several of the Hanks had been cut and tied making the Hanks even smaller when removing the unwanted knots. Unravels very easily

The yarn is very soft, and has a great texture when knitted. I also likes the finished look of the yarn - not too shiny and not to matte. And it washed well. But there are quite of few cons. I agree with the others that it makes no sense to split the solid yarn into five hanks, especially when they are such a small amount. I disliked winding each one and then joining each one every couple inches on my project (and who likes burying tails). The yarn is also a bit slippery and comes untwisted and split. Plus there needs to be a bit more yardage in the skein. I didnt have enough to make a pompom with one. Disappointing, especially for the price. Great feel to this yarn, but Im looking for another for my next project because there are too many drawbacks.

Great feel, but too many cons

I purchased the elephant grey combination and was very disappointed when rewinding it to find that of the five links, three of them have sections that have been knotted together inside the link. I have another color which I haven&#x27;t re-wound yet and will probably return it to the store.

There is no way to wind the ball without tangles. I had to get my partner to help holding onto the yarn while I wind it into a ball. It was extremely frustrating. The shawl asked for 4 sets, so that was 20 times frustration! I can&#x27;t imagine someone doing this without swearing.

It&#x27;s a mess

I was first attracted by the nice colour combination of this yarn and the softness. It took a while to wind the yarns in balls and immediately I regretted the purchase. There were knots in two of the colours. Untieing the knots, the yarns were actually broken and badly tied back. Now the yarns are broken into smaller chunks, not to mention it is already pretty small to begin with.
