This heavyweight mixed media paper is toned specifically for use with light and dark media; it also combines the characteristics of a watercolor paper and the finish of a drawing sheet, creating a paper that performs for all wet and dry media. It's the perfect hybrid of two of Strathmore's most loved papers: 400 Series Toned Sketch and 400 Series Mixed Media. Flip-over covers feature sheets that stay in the pad yet tear out cleanly. The paper works well with graphite, colored pencils, markers, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, charcoal, gel pens and more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is thicker paper and the gray tone makes it really easy to work with value. I tried some watercolor pencils and the paper buckled a bit when I applied the water. Doesn't seem quite strong enough for wet media or atleast not more than very light applications. Works wonderfully with color pencils, both oil and wax.

FALLING APART! BEFORE I COULD EVEN USE IT , THE PAD ALREADY FELL OUT AND SOME PAGES WERE FALLING OUT. THIS IS MY FAVORITE BRAND BUT IM BLAMING THE PACKAGING >:( I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD REQUEST FOR A NEW ONE OR NOT BUT IM VERY UPSET.
