Lots of us learned to ride a bike when we were 5 or 8 years old. While we got a lot of bumps and bruises, we still picked up that skill. With the Strider 12 Classic Balance Bike, your little one can learn the balancing act of cycling at 18 months!

This bike teaches kids how to balance and steer a bike, without having to worry about pedaling. They can use the built in footrest to glide on the sidewalk without walking the bike. The lightweight frame is easy for little ones to use.

It grows with your kids, thanks to the adjustable seat height and optional future addition of a foot brake and heavy duty tires.

This bike is recommended for kids 18 months to 3 years old with an inseam of 12 to 17 inches.

My son was born without a fully formed right hand, I actually doubted he'd be able to ride a bike without a full grip. I bought him the strider when he was 2 1/2 and there was no stopping him!! At 3 years and 2 months old, he jumped on a 2 wheeled pedal bike and without any assistance, he rode halfway down the block. It was just amazing. I tell everyone I know with young kids to buy a strider and only a strider!!

Amazing!!!

striderbikes.com

Purchased for our son's 1st birthday a month ago, he loves it! It's so light we can take it everywhere and it's easy for him to hold up.

It's LOVE!

This is the perfect size for my 2.5 year old who is nearly the size of a four year old. He's been enjoying it very much and is feeling excited to ride bikes with his family!

Great Buy!

walmart.com

Both of my daughters loved their Strider and were on a pedal bike by the time they were three years old. It took longer to find a pedal bike small enough for them than it did for them to learn to pedal. Striders are among the most light weight balance bikes on the market, which is an important factor to you little one. If you're on the fence about getting one, I hope this review convinces you to make the investment! They also have great resale value once your child is on to the next level.

One of the best purchases you can make for a kid

My 4 year old is riding a pedal bike and the best part is I didn't have to do any teaching to make it happen. Her Strider did all the teaching for me. She was so confident with her balance from her Strider, it only took a few minutes of getting used to the pedal bike and she was off. Can't say enough good things about Strider Bikes.

Incredible Bike

Bought the bike for my grandson. He loves it. As he had grown, I keep raising the seat. Being the klutz that I am, I stripped the seat adjustment bolt. Called them on the phone. Ann was great. Sent a replacement and also gave me a good deal on the larger seat post. I've got another grandchild on the way. I'll be buying another bike.

Great Bike, great service, great people

I purchased this bike for my 2 year old for Christmas and he loves it!!! My husband loves the camo. He loves riding around the house (can't wait till it is nice outside )and i love the confidence that he has while walking/riding around on the bike gives him. The only issue we are having is keeping his two older brothers off it. Are 6 year old has already asked if he can have one too!!!!

Love this bike

My son got this for his 2nd birthday from his aunt. This is by far his favorite and most used "toy". He cant get enough of it! He has had it a little less then a year and looking back it is amazing how fast he picked up on how to control himself and the bike! He is a pro! He can lift his feet up and let it roll and still control the handlebars. I cannot wait to see where this love for riding bikes takes him! I would highly suggest this bike to anyone!

Proud Mama!

My son is only 18 months old and is just starting to take an interest in going over to the bike and swinging his leg over it and walking while straddling it. It's the perfect height for a toddler. I can't yet say anything about the overall durability and performance, but I think this was a smart choice for him at this age. Many other balance bikes I researched are significantly taller and couldn't be used for a toddler. I wanted to get him started early.

So Far, So Good

We really like the bike, however, the seat is very hard and our toddler didn't want to ride it because it hurt too much.

Hard seat

The tires are plastic (not rubber) and the seat is hard plastic. I put it back into the box and sent it back disappointed that it was cheaply made - cost more than much nicer bikes.

Disappointed with quality of the bike
