the first few times I made this, I was also disappointed. Every time I remove the T-Disc containing the syrup, I saw that it was never empty and it tasted watery.

Before I put the disc in the machine, I would shake the disc, as instructed, and I saw that the air bubble never moved, the syrup is too thick.

Solution : I stuck the syrup T-Disc into the microwave for 10 seconds then brewed, the disc came out clean and the Hot Chocolate actually tasted like it should, not watery.

It's actually good, but...

In response to the negative reviews. The first time I made this I found it way too watery and flavorless as well but you can adjust your Tassimo to use less water when using the milk disc. Another tip is to soak the syrup disc in hot water for a minute or two beforehand to liquify the syrup more so most of it goes into the cup. I also cut open the syrup disc afterwards and poured any remaining syrup directly into the mug and stirred. It was much better but still not as good as powdered hot chocolate because you can put more or less of it into the cup to adjust the flavor to your liking.

Tips for better flavor

This doesn't even come close to the Cadbury powdered hot chocolate that doesn't seem to be on the market since the Tassimo version came out. Sadly it isn't nearly as rich and creamy as the powdered version. I expected it to be creamy as this is made with a disc of chocolate syrup as well as a milk disc, but it's still very watery. However I still find it better then carnation hot chocolate, and unless I can find a better tassimo hot chocolate, I will keep this on hand. If you do try it, I would recommend stirring it well before drinking, and perhaps adding a spoonful of creamer.

Not as expected

My wife and I love hot chocolate. We also love our new Tassimo. I read the review submitted for this pod and it was spot on. The flavor is decent but it is far from what you can get in coffee shops (even cheap ones like Tims). You definitely have to shake it well and maybe even add a bit of milk or creamer.

Decent, but needs some work

I bought this thinking it would taste like the Cadbury hot chocolate that you can buy in a tin ... that stuff is creamy and delicious! But this tastes NOTHING like that. In fact, I have yet to try a Tassimo hot chocolate that isn't completely gross. This is no exception. Save your money ... it tastes bland and awful.

Save your money - Nothing like the cadbury HC tins

They really missed out on making a good product,it wasn't good at all! Watery chocolate syrup doesnt come out of the pack. I'm surprised the makers of Tassimo would even let such a poor product with their name associated with it.

Save your money and drink anything else!!

Terrible!

This my first time ever even writing a review but I was so disgusted by this product I felt the need to say something. Tastes like pure water. So gross.

Awful!!!!!

We were VERY, VERY excited to taste the Cadbury hot chocolate with our Tassimo machine. We aren't coffee drinkers but bought the machine for when we have coffee drinking guests. Upon discovery of the Cadbury Hot Chocolate, we couldn't buy it and get home fast enough to try it.

Well.. our first test and it was pretty weak but noticed extra chocolate in the packs. We then successfully managed to extract all of the chocolate. After several iterations... not one cup of even acceptable hot chocolate.

We both LOVE Cadbury chocolate and hot chocolate in general. In this case, spare yourself the frustration and just buy some generic powdered mix. I can guarantee that it will be more flavorful than what is likely to come out of the T-discs.

The Tassimo machine seems to deliver good coffee and chia (per our guests) so I don't blame the machine.

Tastes like weak, chocolate 'tinted' water.

I Was so excited when I ordered this  drink the excitement carried  right untill it was brewing then The world crashed before how  terrible it is NOT even a Hot chocolate richness syrupy yes  would I buy it again NO NO NO  its was not close toi the rich of instand hot choclate that I love abt Cadburys boo hoo

SO NOT like Cadbury should be

I thought my tassimo was broken because it wasn't brewing this properly... but after reading about it, apparently it's the Cadbury stuff that is the problem. Glad to know I'm not the only one with issues. Won't brew more than 1cm in the cup before shutting off.. since it can't get the syrup out.. yuck.
Don't buy, waste of money for $1 per cup!
