I bought this mostly out of curiosity but it has benefited us all and I will continue to get this litter! Its really effective, clumps are strong and don't give me carpal tunnel pain trying to scoop heavy urine loaded clumps and the boxes are cleaned constantly because it wont cause me a flare up of back pain to carry the jug to fill litter boxes! I am happy for less pain, cats are happy for an always clean litter box! House smells fresh. Whats not to like? The higher price? Yes initially it is higher in cost but I have found this litter lasts even longer than my previous regular scoop litter. It probably evens out if one considers all the benefits!

Purine Tidy Cats has been given his full approval as long as it not scented.  He examines the kitty litter each time he goes to express his opinion and if it is not Purina - he will walk away with a very clear message of disappointment.  Purina Lightweight passes his tests as long as it is not scented.

We have 4 rescue cats (4??!!, yes 4) and I will use this litter for the rest of their lives. It is the least messy litter to clean up that I've ever used. It clumps great, the cats love it, and it also keeps the "smells" down. Wonderful product-thank you Tidy Cats!

FANTASTIC!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love this product and how lightweight it is! It's actually shocking. I love how there is no dust and it never gets anywhere. There is never any scent. i'm so happy with this product and I buy it all the time and this is my go to. I'm always extremely impressed with this product as well as it affordability.

What you expect from Tidy Cat only HALF the weight! Regarding reviews complaining about tracking outside the box...it's no different than any other litter in that regards. Using special litter box mats outside the box is the solution regardless of the litter you use.

Awesome, so light to carry and pour

Love that it is so easy to handle. It is also really easy to scoop and I haven't noticed any problem with odor. We scoop 3 pans for 2 cats daily. There are mats in front of the pans and also at the bottom of the basement stairs. Alas, it is also super bad at clinging to cat feet. Clay footprints on the hardwood, vinyl floors and on every window sill. Litter stuck on back end fur. I'm going to have to switch.

Disappointed

Smells incredibly strong. Literally burned my throat, made my cats have coughing fits, and they have been avoiding the litter box that I filled with this litter.

Smells terrible

The only good thing about it is that it is lightweight.  It doesn't clump well, it is very dusty and most of all it DOES NOT control odor.  Used in a litter robot, so clumping is essential.  Since it didn't clump well, waste stuck to the inside of the robot when it cycled and also wasted a lot of litter. 2 cat household.

Just awful and a waste of money

I really do appreciate how light the cat litter container is..I really really do! The clumping action is the same. However it doesn't control the oder as well as it used to!!! It starts to smell after just a few uses & that's not cool Tidy Cat! Not cool at all! :-( Won't be buying it again until it's fixed. Please please fix it!!! I have been buying Tidy Cat litter for a while now & I really like the way it's so light now!
