To me, this hat is more a light greyish-white or a whitish-grey with a white band.  It is not a brilliant white as I wanted.  However, it does coordinate with the dresses for which I bought it as long as I do not use brown accessories. Black, silver and white ones work well.  I take a small hat size. This hat is small-medium  It fits me but is not snug.  It fits down on my head, but then is less likely to blow off, i guess.  I wish they made sizes small, medium and large, not just two sizes.  However I was pleased with the hat when I wore it with my outfit, and the size worked well enough.  I wanted a firm, stiff hat, but those are not currently available. Although not what I pictured, this hat is growing on me, and I see much use for it in the future.
