I've bought multiple Hanes Beefy-T shirts and have been really impressed with the quality. The fabric feels just right, but substantial enough to feel durable and comfortable. So far, they've held up
.
One minor issue is that the collar tends to curl slightly, but once you wear it, it flattens out and looks fine. Folding it properly also helps to flatten it out.

Now, the reason for the “but” in my title: in my most recent order, the green Heavy T shrunk significantly after the first wash it became an L from an XL. It was very noticeable compared to the other colors, which are still in perfect shape.

I'll be returning that one and ordering a 2XL to account for any future shrinkage. Other than that, I'm still a fan of these shirts!

Excellent T-Shirt! But...

Hanes

Great fit shirt. Holds up nicely. If purchasing and you place in the dryer after washing, I recommend buying one size up. If you are a small, buy a medium. After purchasing, and have sensitive skin, cut the tag off.

Nice Fitting Shirt

I was happy to re-discover the classic Hanes Beefy-T, a staple from the 80s and 90s. Still high-quality and thick! Will be getting many more. Thanks, Hanes!

Just like I remember!

More clothing companies need to offer heavier cotton fabrics like this. My wife has a Beefy-T that is 10 years old now and it has no holes or signs of tearing and has softened nicely over time. So when it came time for me to buy some solid-toned shirts, I decided to go to hanes. They have a nice weight to them and feel soft. The reason the review is a 4 and not a 5 is because they run BIG. I'm a XXL and sometimes an XXL shirt can be cut like an L and sometimes it's cut for (I assume) a person who is shorter (I'm 6 foot). You can kind of see it in Hane's own picture with the guy and girl. The shirt sits kind of loose on his chest. Would have gone with an XL next time. Too bad Hanes doesn't sell Beefy-Ts in more stores.

Value for the Money

For a beefy tee shirt it is definitely thinner than before when bought a bunch of them a few years ago. Also feels warmer to wear might be the non cotton material that does that. Price was great and made well minus being thinner than I've come to expect from Hanes.

When comparing the Heavyweight Cotton T-Shirts purchased several years ago to todays, there are some notable differences in the quality.  Today the shirt tread count and/or fabric denseness/thickness is much lighter.  I've also noticed many of the shirts I've purchased over the years has had the stitching break under arm resulting in holes.

The shirts without the neck tags are much better than those with the neck tags.  It seems that the tags cause the place in the neck where they are located to bunch up which gives a very poor look and feeling to the neck.  The shirts without tage are very good.

I purchased extra large Beefy T's after reading the width and length of the shirts. I compared the online specified measurements against other t-shirts I currently own. The measurements were the same so I placed on order for seven (7). When I received the t-shirts and tried them on, they were too small. I didn't return given them the postage cost associated with doing so. I'll just give them to someone else given they won't work for me. What a disappointment.

Sizing

Very prompt delivery. Not the same quality as in past. Material is okay but just don't fit right. The shoulder seams hang 4-5 inches down, and the underarm also hangs weird. I still have 5-6 Hanes Beefy-T shirts from a couple of years ago that fit great. Definitely not the same cut. I probably should have sent them back. I will not order them again.

Odd Fit

In the last order I received, the sizing has been changed and runs much smaller.  The XL is much narrower and I can't go to a 2XL because the shoulders are too wide.  Also, they are no longer tagless and instead have 2 tags!  Why do companies change things that were working?  I will no longer be purchasing these shirts.
