I bought this for my daughter for christmas. She absolutley loves it . she uses it everyday she loves to pretend she is vlogging. The price was great and it is easy to use for my 6 year old. There isn't a lot of storage space on the camera but just pop in an sd card and it is perfect.

Great little camera

My son absolutely love this! He is 4. And it's so easy to learn how to use. I don't even know by myself details, but he knows better than me. 
But if you make this like a present, be ready to buy extra memory card. I didn't pay attention before I bought it. So it was a little disappointment when he started make videos and internal memory get full very fast.

Yes yes yes

Perfect for a techie 5 year old ! He spent most of Xmas day taking photos / selfies & videos . 
The battery charge of about 2 hours is fine , we didn't want a 5 year old using it any longer .
The instructions are a little confusing (& the main on/off switch is tiny ….) but navigation is pretty intuitive . The tripod is a really nice touch…..

Great camera for a 5 year old

Great Buy

Great starter camera for 5 and up. Battery lasts along time. And the games are great! Definitely recommend.

My five year old loves this. Really easy to use and great fun. You can't store much though. So factor in the price of a memory card.

Great toy

My 6 year old son had this toy for not even 8 hrs.  He was using it, and he tripped and fell. The camera hit the floor, not hard at all, and now the screen does not work.  Can still hear all tbe sounds, but the screen is black.  You would think this toy would be more durable considering it is made for kids.

Not very happy

I saw the other bad reviews about this camera, the not charging issue, but most seemed to be from a few years back, so I mistakenly believed that the issue was resolved for all newer models. But no, same problem. We will be in contact with Vtech asap.

It stopped working after one week

The camera was purchased in January 2021 and was enjoyed by our daughter for about 4 months when it stopped charging.
The camera was much less than a year old, with no visible damage and clearly suffering from a faulty component and/or low build quality.
Even with USB Cable connected and I/O switch in I position, camera is
instructing "Turn on the battery switch before charging".
We have tried many times with camera I/O switch in both positions.

We reached out to Vtech and received a 'canned' response that they cannot offer any troubleshooting and they will not provide any support after the 3 month warranty.  It has been radio silence from them after a follow-up request for support.  

Do not expect the camera to last under normal use for any extended period of time.  And as our experience has demonstrated, even though Vtech claims 'high quality products' in their mission statement, they will not stand by that when there is a very easy opportunity to build brand loyalty and offer customer support.

Low build quality and no VTech Support

Charge port is broken after first recharge wont charge. My daughter used it once and it's already broken.
