Being a 38 DD to DDD i normally do not buy bras with padding , but the padding in this bra is more like a thin spongy lining and does not add inches / bulk at all, the bra is extremely supportive and i like that the straps are adjustable and can be moved to create different styles , ie halter ,crisscross etc, the fabric is supportive too , not flimsy or too stretchy , a great bra for a larger bust .

I bought 2 Illumination Front Close bras because my very old ones are old but still great. The only difference is that the new bras seem to be much lighter in weight AND the straps are a bit skinnier, which I am disappointed with. Lighter in weight is always good and I still feel well-supported, but I really need the straps to be wider like my old Illuminations.

They are great if you don't mind skinnier straps

I have bought about 4 of these bras over the past two years and I just love them.  I need a front closure.  They are comfortable and good quality.

Wonderful Product

I have arthritis and fastening my bra in the back was very problematic. I now get dressed without assistance. The bra is very attractive and provides excellent coverage and support. I will be purchasing more of these in additional colors.

Thank you for these bras that close in the front.  It makes it so much easier to put on when you have shoulder & arm troubles.  I'm very thankful for them & will order them again.

Great Fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me say I cannot understand why front close bras do not absolutely dominate the marketplace. Got one of these Vanity Fair bras a couple years ago and it's been my favorite. Time to replace my other traditional back-close bras, and never hesitated to order these. 
However, they aren't *quite* the same as before. After trying these on, it seems the clasp doesn't hold/work like it used to. The fabric won't stay centered in the clasp, so the clasp screws sideways. Very unattractive looking, but it hasn't caused me any discomfort (yet; worn twice) so I'm going to see if I can try to take some stitches in along the clasp to see if that will keep the fabric from sliding along the clasp. But, at the price for new bras, I really shouldn't have to do this. 
Maybe I've answered my own question here; maybe front close bras don't dominate the marketplace because the method of closure still hasn't been perfected. 
Still, for now hoping they will work. I will upload pics showing this exact issue if the website allows, confirming the same model of bra and size, but the issue with the fabric and clasp that so very many reviews I have now have point out as a fatal flaw in the manufacturing.

Going to try and make these work

Finallly! A bra that fastens in thee front that doesn't look matronly.  Just because I can no longer reach behind due to a shoulder injury doesn't mean I want to dress like an on woman!  I like this one.  The only problem is the fastener itself.  It came undone at a very inopportune time.  Very embarrassing.  Perhaps you could make that more secure?

Almost perfect-almost

The Illumination was my favorite bra. It has the best support for my 38Ds (the bras are true to size, too). I ended up buying 2 of each color. I like to wear the crisscross option as it gives the girls a nice boost and also gives a trim appearance to my torso. Less than 2 years later, the support is still there... BUT, the material around the front of the cup where the satin trim is, is rolling outwards so it shows through my shirts, especially white shirts. Very unflattering, and I cant fix it. I always used the gentle cycle to wash them and hung them to dry, but maybe hand washing them is the way to go. Who has time for that though. Maybe I'll try a style with a different material. Its a shame because I do like these bras a lot. Would I recommend the Illumination? Yes, but with a warning about the rolling.

2 years later...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable but the front latches slide and are very uncomfortable. The latches need to stay in place instead of slide and cut into my skin. I wish there was a better description of the bra or I would not have purchased 3 the same style. Very disappointed.

Very comfortable but the front

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the fifth and sixth bra of this exact model I've gotten and the quality gets worse every time. First and second pairs, purchased around 2016, were excellent, so I bought the third and fourth pairs in 2021, decent but not as comfortable, and then the fifth and sixth December 2024. The material, the strap size, the clasp, the size itself have all been trash this time. The original two from 2016, while quite worn, are still going strong and are my favorite bras ever. The two from 2024, meant to replace the two from 2021, both of which had the underwire pop out in 2024, have already fallen apart (underwire popped out within six months!!!). Again, I still have all six pairs to compare and the material is noticeably worse. The straps are visibly thinner and flimsier. The fit isn't even the same (the 2024 ones are significantly tighter than the previous four). How is it I bought the exact same size and model and still ended up with an uncomfortable bra that didn't even last a year? I won't be giving Vanity Fair another chance. If you're a returning customer hoping for the same quality you got a few years ago, I'd caution you that you likely won't get it here.
