I got these recently for a backpacking trip and they kept my feet happy and dry. These shoes are now a permanent part of my gear bag. They are very lightweight and waterproof which is perfect for several outdoor activities. I really like the fact they are partially made out of recycled materials which make them that much better.

This new model is not only very attractive, the already high quality materials seem to be improved. These soles have been extremely durable while having an impressive amount of sticky grip, especially on wet rocky ground. I can where either 10.5 or 10W in Vasque so only a little disappointed to not have the wide option this time. These are hiking shoes with a rigid design so expect some break in period for most. I usually experience some heel slip until they form perfectly to my feet.

New version even better than the last!

I do production work and the show I got called for ended up in the woods and rain. I rushed to the outdoor shop and bought these.I wore them for 16 hours and they were fantastic! My feet were dry and I didn't feel like I had to break them in.

32,000 steps fresh out of the box

Bought on April 22. Today is May 23. Have worn at least 6 days out of 7 since purchase. Really wish that Vibram could make this sole a wee bit tougher. Have already worn down 2/3 of outer rear lug.

Hiker is styli'n, lightweight. Has a “it takes time to get used to” footbed.” It's weird “walk” at first. Luggs grip like crazy.

Quality of entire shoe is a five. Poor Vibram durability brings it down to three. 

Definitely not an urban walker. Sole is just too soft. I'll have these ground down to unwearable in another month.

These are daily wearers for me and have worn very well, BUT they are definitely not waterproof!  I do love their looks though so I give them 5 stars for that and the sole wear has been good, but it goes to 2 stars because your feet will get WET!

Comfortable but definitely not waterproof!

I've been a Vasque/Red Wing customer for 20+ years. The Breeze LT GTX was the perfect shoe. I've owned 2 pairs and each pair lasted about 3 years with light hiking and casual wear. One pair I used as work shoes. It was time to get a new pair and to my disappointment the line has been discontinued and the NTX has been introduced. Why? Why discontinue a great shoe like the GTX? Is it for some false sense of saving the planet because the NTX is made from recyclable material? Is it just for show? Because the NTX is nowhere near the quality of the GTX. Upon putting them on for the first they were way too tight and small. The toe box had plenty of room but they were so tight my feet hurt after wearing them for 10 minutes. The shoe laces are too short also. I generally wear a narrow shoe so the lack of room surprised me. First Vasque discontinues the Mantra and now the GTX. I am very disappointed. If the NTX do not break in to the point where they do not hurt my feet I will definitely be taking them back. I hate to leave Vasque as I have really enjoyed their product for many years, but current changes may not leave me any choice.
