Verka Ghee (clarified butter) is prepared by melting and simmering butter until all water evaporates and the milk fats remain to 99.8% minimum. It has a sweet, nutty flavour and is the cooking medium choice in Indian Cuisines. It can be used in place of butter when sauteing or browning. Ghee keeps for months without refrigeration as long as you don’t allow moisture to get in.

Ghee is Excellent to use for cooking, and this Verka brand seems welll made. It doesn't come all caked up.

Best Ghee to use

I use this Ghee butter  instead of butter to cook anything in a pan. It has a much higher burn temperature. It is great for frying eggs, fish etc.

Great product

In janv 2024, it is less expensive than fresh butter when you buy this big size (1,6kg). Butter flavor very strong (good). Good in pastry and every day cooking. Less good for spead on bread (in my opinion).

I have not purchased Ghee until I bought this. I wanted to find a substitute for butter.

This appears to be the best bang for the buck at Walmart and it tastes great. Anyone who loves popcorn listen up!..... This is fantastic in place of coconut oil, vegetable oil or butter (and has a nigher smoke point then most so wont burn). I will keep buying this.

I have spent around 1 year from now in Canada and used different Indian butters(desi ghee). We already know Verka as brand of purity just like dabar company. For me, it is better than Nanak and Brar's desi ghee.
Also, Walmart gave me the best price so far.

Ok on price

Ghee does not release any aroma when you heat it. Has weird texture. It does not feel like ghee at all.
