The quality is excellent and the jaggery tastes fresh. The added spices give it a refreshing kick that's different from regular gur. Perfect for satisfying a sweet craving without being overly sugary. The masala flavor adds a nice touch and makes it quite addictive.

Best Jaggery

I have  tried this last year and was pleased with the taste of Gur. It is soft enough to break it in smaller pieces to eat it as candy. It  can also be used in cooking instead of sugar.

Bad Gur

I was really hoping to find high-quality gur at a reasonable price and decided to try this 1kg jar from Walmart’s website. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed to discover green fungus growing on the bottom portion of the gur (jaggery) —it looked like it had started to spread. I’m shocked at the poor quality of this product. It’s frustrating to see such low standards for something sold through a major retailer. I wish I had taken a photo before discarding the product to show here. I’m still searching for good-quality gur at a fair price here in Canada, but this definitely wasn’t it.
