I am giving it a 5 because strong and sturdy is hard to come by!  Packaged well. There are 4 easy steps to put it together. (Pictures to follow). I am an older woman and needed MUSCLE to push the roller wheels into the base, but managed on my own.  I am shorter so the lower height setting is good for me, but it adjusts easily! Other reviewers confirmed it held their (larger size) weight which confirmed QUALITY! Just ONE thing to be aware of, which I read in the reviews, its seat has a smooth polished finish which makes it slippery. It may require your hand to steady it while sitting and getting up. I bought it to accommodate a smaller access seating area for my desk when I relocated it. My previous roller chair with a back would not fit the available space. This one is a perfect fit and worth the money.

I bought this stool to complete my son's desk and for the look of it of course.. modern, sleek, etc.. This chair far exceeded my expectations! The actual seat is much larger than I expected, it's sturdy and the quality is amazing. Because of the colors offered I had the impression that it was perhaps just for kids... well no, this chair would be great anywhere. Craft room, designer's room, doctor's office, kitchen computer station, dentist, etc.. Of course if you work all day at a computer perhaps you would want something with a back support/reclining capability. Oh one more thing.. the price is spot on!!

Great stool for any room!

I have arthritis in both legs and can stand only for short periods of time. Also, I weigh 270 lbs. This chair is very strong, doesn't move when I am sitting on it (I took the wheels off and put gliders on), it adjusts low for my short stature, the shape of the seat is very comfortable for my big butt and is very easy to slide across the floor. I love everything about this chair.

Very sturdy chair

I purchased this product to be used with the built-in desk in my kitchen and it works and looks great. I am able to tuck the chair under the desk - saving space. I love the style and height, the only thing to be aware of it that the surface is slick and one can slide around or off the seat. I like it.

Hot Seat

I am adding to my earlier review, which overall was a very positive review except for the slick seat, which I was aware of when I ordered it. 
My solution was to lay a piece of  Con-Tact brand Non Adhesive cabinet liner across the slippery seat. It's non adhesive design grips the seat, stays in place and allows me to sit without sliding and roll the chair around while my butt stays firmly on the seat! It works, for a $5 and less investment, because you don't use much!

I love it! I ordered this tractor seat desk chair as I start my business, in honor of my stepdad who recently passed (and who loved his tractor). Its sturdy - the wheels are simple, not as superb as the rest of the chair - and the color is beautiful.

Good purchase

This is a great stool. I bought two for my classroom. The students love them, as well as,  my fellow teachers! They are very comfortable and durable! I have a total of four now!

Awesome stools

This is a great side-chair in a small office. The wheels mean your visitor can easily roll over to see what's on your desk or screen, and because it doesn't have a back, they make their point quickly and move on. Also, the shiny chrome legs and brilliant color of the seat (I ordered a red one) gets enthusiastic comments from folks every time.

Ergonomic Tractor Seat Stool is Great!

I bought 2 of these chairs. One went together perfectly. The other I had to return. The manufacturer had not properly drilled the base and one of the wheels could not be inserted (even if I had used power tools.) So a return and reorder, kind of a pain! But it was easy to return at least.
I had an older model (that had broke) which had a back on it and I hoped to put the back from that one on one of the new ones but alas, the manufacturer had changed the template for the screw holes so that didn't work either. It doesn't go as low as the old one did. The wheels are a bit cheaper so it doesn't role around quite as good. :(

1 worked and 1 didn't. The new improved model not!

this is the second one I have purchased but this one had a problem....one of the wheels fell off the first day I used it. I understand there is always a possible of a problem and do not blame the chair. I had no problem returning it to the store. I have ordered another one and look forward to it coming. Oh my first one lasted 5 years of daily use. The only reason I am getting another is after all these years it tends to sink...LOL the gas has eacaped and it can no longer stay up. I can not wait to get my new one....first one was red this new one will be blue......such pretty colors.....if you need a good heavy duty stool/chair this one is it....

love these but

This chair is too high for use at a computer. My friend who is 5'4 could not even sit on it without it shooting out from under him. The seat is made of hard acrylic. Just a few minutes on it had my back aching. It does look nice but that's about it. I will have to return it by mail.
