Sound is clear and detailed in its reproduction.

The sound on this was perfect! I was surprised by just how loud you can raise the volume. The playback is fantastic. My 10 year old daughter enjoyed both her new records. It is compact and light enough to move from room to room.

I bought this for my mother. She is in her 70s and loves it. She couldn't wait to set it up on her table so she could listen to her records. How awesome, I was so happy! 
It seems good quality sound, easy to use, and looks so vintage and classy at the same time. The perfect gift

awesome record player

The only issue I had with this was the riser piece that controls the arm was very sticky and had to be exercised to get functioning properly. Other than that it works great. Only suggestion I would have is a locking latch that prevents the lid from falling.

Nice and compact

For under $100, I was afraid this record player might be good for looks only, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out to sound and. function.

Worth more than the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was cheaper new at Walmart than others were selling it used locally. Sound is good and easy to use. Brings back a lot of good memories.

Not very much bass response but a lot of treble. Sound is clear though. Cartridge has trouble with skipping on records that have a heavy bass frequency. Player does have a nice Mid Century look and vibe. Overall it's a good starter record player and is good looking but don't expect too much from it. Plays vintage vinyl records fine but has trouble with newer bass heavy vinyl.

Good for beginners

This is a really nice classic looking record player. The problem is in the overall build quality. It has an nostalgic look, and it is aesthetically pleasing. It is priced well for what you receive, but the first one that I received did not power on I tried switching the power adapter, and it still did not power on, so the problem must have been in the unit itself. I then ordered a second record player because I liked the first one that I received. It just did not power on the second one worked pretty well and sounded pretty decent. It wasn't real loud, but I didn't expect that for a record player this size at this price point that I was placed with the second record player that I received. I would recommend this product because you're getting a nice product at a good price. I hope that this record player continues to last I guess time will tell. If nothing else just return it for a refund. Give this record player a try and I think you'll be pleased.

Victrola record player

Invest a little more to get a real record player. This is a toy. The plastic plate was unbalanced and made a scraping sound. I immediately returned and got one with an aluminum arm and plate and unattached speakers -it's miles and miles better. I feel like I've invested in something I'll have for a long time instead of something I'll have to replace each year and up paying more for over time.

This was purchased as a gift and unfortunately landed outside of the return timeframe. the turntable was uneven and distorted the sound/didn't play properly.. the quality of the speaker was horrible.  Go not buy.

It broke on the day we opened it.  It played one record and then the second record was playing too slowly.  Had to return it
