this generator comes well packed and it's very easy to set up. comes with everything you need. once you get it running you'll notice it's very quiet and the wheels with the pull out handle. make it very portable. If you want to make your generator quiet in case of a full-blown power outage, this generator is a great place to start. then build a box around it with proper ventilation. Tuck it away into a garage and use the awesome remote it comes with when you need to use it. has a large fuel capacity. you set this up the right way and nobody in your neighborhood will know you have power. it's worth the money

this is a great generator! quiet and powerful

After months of research, including a spreadsheet, the Westinghouse igen4500 became my first choice. Obviously, the 4500 watts in an inverter generator is a huge selling point for everyone.  It is for me too, but what really separates this unit from the competition is the QUIET 52dB operating volume.  I really have issues with loud noises, so this sold me the most.  I say the most because there are so many other great things this unit has that make the competition look bad.  Remote start, gas gauge, very high end control panel, very efficient operation, telescoping handle, etc...

As soon as this generator went on sale I grabbed mine.  I've only set it up and run it for a few minutes so far, but everything works great and sounds Quiet.

so far so good have not had a chamc to use it but all and all the features  look great get back to me in the spring

I filled it up with oil and gasoline. It started right up, ran good, and worked as it should.  We will need to see how it holds up long-term.  The first impression is that I'm pleased with it.

So Far Good

I only used it one weekend to run air and tv's in a 5th wheel. My 22 yrs old Honda  2000 would run one but it gave me it full life for 22 years. So I got this big and heavy guy was a bugger to get it up in the 4X4 pickup in front of the 5er hitch. But I got seven hours out of less than a gal of gas and the remote works from inside my 5er. Will it last as long as the old Honda don't know but for 699.00 before our country starts to fall apart will have 2 more in different parts of our country at my boy's home just in case.

I thiink it will be all the power I need for my 27 ft AC. I plan to only use with propane since I already had a spare 30 lb tank. I should always have a backup with two tanks on my trailer. The negative is the poor design of the oil drain. It is offset to the door for checking the oil so very hard to get a wrench on. Then the screw acting as the plug is in an extension piece from the oil pan and comes unscrewed instead of the plug. You end up with a huge mess in the bottom of the generator. Plus, they apparently expect you to drain the oil into the bottom of the generator and let it go out a drain hole in the bottom of the enclosure.

After having this mess the first time I drained the oil, I found an oil drain valve on Amazon that I could install with a fitting i could attach a tube to. Had to install a rubber washer to get a good seal to the valve. Now I can change the oil without any mess.

Packaging from the factory is not great and the unit had plastic damage.  Still works perfect and would recommend

Great unit poor packaging

I bought this because it was on sale. I got it and it smelled like gas and there was oil remnants in it. Next, the oil cover will not properly shut and hangs open. Also, there in a scratch/dent in the number light-up area. I am 100% sure that Walmart/Westinghouse sold me a USED/REFURBISHED product and in the description it was supposed to be NEW. Also, it's pretty funny that I bought it, and the next day the price was back to normal. I think they lowered the price to get rid of the used product.
